I have the same impression on the top flap when I saw this bag in photos. Rain water will get into the bag from the sides of the top flap and this will be a lot worse if I’m using an umbrella. If only Thinktank makes the top flap wider to cover the gaps.

Have you tried to use it on a commercial plane for under the seat stowage? I've yet to take mine on a plane and worry about no overhead storage available. Thanks for the review!
I have not but being that it's only 7" in depth I doubt you will have any issues at all. The problem you'll have is that there'll be no room for your feet/legs if you choose to stuff it under the seat. I certainly wouldn't want to do a long flight like that but I'm 6'2 and shrinking so depending on your height and if you're really in a pinch you should be fine.

Hello Lyza, I think the bag is better suited for your size than mine to honest. I'd love it if TTP would make a larger version of this bag for my height. Be sure to take a look at the mindshift backlight 18L, that bag would be a good fit for you as well but really just depends on personal preference and how much gear you wish to carry. Most welcome, I love this bag and use it regularly but it is a tad small for my frame. I'd love to see TTP come out with something larger height wise with a bit more capacity in the same line. Cheers

I have the Lowepro pro tactic 350 and I think it’s too small.

Sure, it fits my Dell Precision 5550 but it's a tad on the snug side. I don't carry a laptop this way very often but if I was going to I would opt for a roomier bag my friend. IMHO, the fit is too tight for something you will use often. You'll just get peeved with this fit. Hope that helps. Paul
