Remember when R32 GTRs used to be cheaper than current-day prices of automatic 4-door Skylines?

They were as little as £4-£5k imported into the UK around early to mid 00s.

Yeah and peoples definition of 'clean' has changed greatly over time.

The reason why many people have the issue of not being able to "open the trunk with the lever" is actually not a defect fault, but a security feature that are present on all R32's. On the inside latch of the trunk where the end cable is, there is a flip switch on the inside that moves up and down. If you flip the switch, it disconnects the cable running to the lever and if you flip the switch again, it reconnects the cable. This was used for valet purposes back in the day.

Wow, you just made my day!
I'll check that the next time I have this problem.

I wonder if the P10 Primeras had the same feature since it uses the same mech for the boot (trunk).

Could be. Remember many racecars have the "23" for that reason.
This one´s really in good condition AND almost stock!
Yes the R32 looks good and also modern. Also the standard ones. But the standard R32 and 33s look better than the R34 standard limo. I remember that Best Motoring episode where they were on the Nurburgring. All those boxy 80s boxes and then the R32. 😁I think it was recorded at the beginning of the 90s (92?). Well I wasn´t aware of the thing Skyline back in the day. 😆

The V-Spec II an active rear diff (same as fitted to the R33 V-Spec and R34 V-Spec 1). The R32 V-Spec 1 has a normal diff.
I think the tyre sizes are different too IIRC (245's instead of 225's).

A part of me still really wants an FD2, but theyre insanely expensive. How much are they appreciating in value? Im also in Canada. Do they have lower priced ones anywhere?

Ive read that the rust problems with skylines got worse as the generations went on with the R34 chassis being the worst
