I have been fighting the temptation to play Sims 3 again lately because I knew as soon as I loaded it up and started a family, it's all I would play for months. Today, I finally gave in to the temptation and loaded it up... and as soon as I heard this song, I smiled like a kid opening a present on Christmas. I mean... wow, that was powerful. This is how a Sims game is done right.

This song makes me feel heavily nostalgic. If I close my eyes, I see myself in 2014 playing The Sims 3 Pets on PS3 having the time of my life. Back then middle school just started but playing this game was more important to me. Now I graduated in high school but I still come back here listening to this masterpiece and remembering about my childhood. So many things changed, I wish I could go back. Thank you The Sims, you have been such an important part of my life!
I don't get all the hate on TS3, I can only explain it with nostalgia. From an objective viewpoint, you can't say that TS3 sucks or isn't an improvement over TS2. Just the open world aspect makes it much more enjoyable (among other things), and the amount of content that comes with every expansion (and the base game) is certainly more consequent than the previous ones. My only complaint is that the game is badly programmed.
I don't get it, either. Sure, TS3 was missing some of my favorite aspects of TS2, such as memories, but they added so much more. The open world was certainly an improvement, though it later backfired as the community lots were always nearly empty. But overall I still enjoyed TS3, glad to see someone who doesn't mindlessly hate on it.
I think the hate is dicrectly proportionate to how much time it takes for you to actually load the game, not the gamemplay. I still ahve to way like 10 minutes to play. Other than that, I find the game very enjoyable. :)
