𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗼𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁

In a collaborative effort, LGU Tubod and Tubod College, under the guidance of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region 10, hosted a Public Forum for the Search for School President on May 24, 2024. The event was spearheaded by Regional Director Dr. Freddie T. Bernal and aligned with CHED Memorandum Order No. 18 series of 2022, which outlines policies, standards, and guidelines for the institutional recognition of state colleges and universities.
Dr. Bernal emphasized the necessity of selecting a president through a formal search process to ensure the school maintains its institutional recognition.
"Kailangan po natin na pumili ng Presidente na according to search para maka-avail yung eskwelahan ng institutional recognition," he stated.
This recognition is crucial for the continuous availability of free higher education, including free tuition and other school fees.
The forum, held at MCC Rianas Restaurant, gathered a diverse audience including students, faculty, business owners, Sangguniang Bayan Officials, Barangay Captains, LGU Department Heads, and other stakeholders. This engagement highlights the community's vested interest in the leadership and future direction of Tubod College.
The four candidates vying for the position of School President were Rene C. Abarquez, Ed.D., Danilo L. Daniel, Ph.D., Rezyl R. Mallorca, Ph.D., and Cherry Marie C. Paclipan, DM. Each candidate presented their vision, mission and goals for the college, aiming to secure the support and approval of the attendees.
