Hi,I was born in 1948 and I could not Waite to watch these fantastic movies each and every week,and I still enjoy watching them now thanks for the good old times,also I collect the old movies and coins.
Misfits connection aside, this is still a really fun serial and the titular villain is one of the best in classic horror. I really wish they had brought him back for a sequel series, but this one is still great on its own!

What a good serial it has stood up the 77 years and is still worth watching. Republic Studios got these serials down to fine art knocking one chapter out in just a 4-5 days.

I got into this through The Misfits, its easy to see the appeal it held ( & IMO Still holds ), Really great fight sequences, I'm surprised @ how realistic they were & that there's fights in EVERY EPISODE! Definatley worth watching !
What a rock'em, sock'em film. Don't know why I chose to watch it, but I'm glad I did. I love how the men would fight and never lose their hats. The Crimson Ghost's disguise was cool.
one of the truly great things about these serials is being able to jump out of a speeding car without losing your hat nor getting dirty........great stuff
As I recall from the "dim times" when I was just a little boo boo, these serials were shown every Saturday with the kid oriented movies and offered at a reduced price. The place was always packed and first row seats were considered the best in the house. We used to pay 25 cents to get in. On occasion we would get out of hand with excitement and make too much noise and the ushers would come in and flash their flash lights at us to make us quiet down. Those were the days.
Chris Newport I saw them on my local Creature Features show as a kid, but substitute my parents for the ushers and you and I pretty much had the same experience.
Wow, respect! The movies in my small hometown there were no ushers, so we teenagers pretty much do everything we wanted XD smoking and drinking and whatnot... now theres major movie theaters, it's more control... still it was fun. :)
With the absolute crap for the most part that is churned out by Hollywood, this serial and most old black and whites are far more entertaining an worthwhile watching.
Agreed once one holds my interest I have to watch it through if I can started watching masked marvel last nite some are better than others but most are very enjoyable
My mother's cousin retired from teaching at the Naval Academy and taught math at Occidental in the 1950s. His father was a battalion chief in the Los Angeles Fire Department. His sister was a PhD Biochemist at UCSF.
Tom Steele, the legendary stunt man, used soft rubber tubing inside his hats to keep them on. That was to keep the audience from seeing that he wasn't actually the actor. He was such an essential character that often the actors were chosen because THEY resembled HIM.
I was 3 yrs. old when these chapters were made. Watched all 12 over a 3-day period....loved it! Tons of fighting, Ashe (hi o silver), never thought he would play a bad guy, Duncan, a cross between Cary Grant and Rock Hudson, Linda Stirling, wow what a knockout.....closed circuit cameras, wireless recorders and did I mention "tons of fighting", especially between Duncan and Ashe; those two should be married! It was great to go back in time once again!!! (LS69FREESTYLE)

One of the main serials used in the firesign theatre guys JMen Forever. Read William Witney's book "In a Door, Into a Fight, Out a Door, Into a Chase." Great background on what it took to make these films.

Clayton Moore as a "baddie"! And Diana was quite the tough, scrappy cookie! Jumping out of planes and out of control cars plus jumping into fights! Nice to see a female lead who does more than faint. Thanks for this. GREAT fun.

I see the Lone Ranger is one of the bad guys, in this movie, when Clanton Morre was the Lone Ranger he'd go to Rodeo's & my sister whld hang out with him, doing all kind of horse tricks, etc, back in the 1960's & early 70's
I remember waiting all week to go to the South Los Angeles "Southside Theater" Saturday ALL DAY matinee (for 35 cents) to see these cliffhangers. I guess my favorite was Commander Cody and the Radar Men from the moon. GOOD TIMES.
What a totally unique voice he had, Clayton Moore. There were two color full-length Lone Ranger movies, both with outstanding plots and actors. The other "full-lemgth" one is actually a compilation of several introductory b/w films about the start of the saga. It too is very good--about the "Cavendish Gang,"
You're right about his voice. I worked with a man in an office decades ago who had a similarly distinctive sound. He was very cool and professional, like Clayton Moore.
If this really was a sequel it was a pain in the neck lol, cat and mouse games, fighting every 2mins bloody ell🤣 only dragged thru the end so see what finally becomes of everything. Thanks for the upload tho

For years I’ve listened to the song Crimson Ghost by the Misfits, and never knew that there was a movie! Been such a big fan, my dad told me not too long ago if I’ve seen the Crimson Ghost, I thought he meant the music video, but he said that there was a movie or tv series?! For as long as I’ve listened to the Misfits, I never knew.
It actually wasnt a film, it was a series that ran in the 40s, the misfits only used the crimson ghosts likeness because it was the only eye catching thing they could find to put on posters
Many of these great old films were butchered to fit time slots on the new TV system. THAT is where the missing footage went, and it raises merry Hell with the continuity.
I love the way they use two thermometers to make a radium detector. I also know why the 1950s TV shows used such shoddy furniture. It is show they can break them in those fist fights they loved.
I really did enjoy that perhaps because it reminded me of being a kid. They must have been so cheap to make ,a lot of people made some good money off of them while giving many people work and others 3 or 4 months of Saturdays at the movie house. Thanks.

this is an incredible serial & the Crimson Ghost is still the #1 serial of all time - great storytelling!
This deserves a spiritually faithful remake, something that can still do some of it's own stuff, but still remains faithful to the original

There were more car wrecks in this than at a demolition derby. Diana and Duncan are like a Timex watch- takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

My dad took me to the Star and Garter theater in Chicago every Saturday so I could watch the next chapter. I loved it as a 5 year old.

You'd need to document that. If an actor got hurt it would screw up the filming schedule.
