I live in Canada and I have worked as a chef for decades. I have been the head chef and usually hire all my own kitchen staff. Of all the different nationalities Filipino people are the nicest in the whole world. They like to have fun, they work hard and I never had a problem with any of them and I was a tough boss. Filipino people are family orientated and they have the nicest smiles.

Hey Alex. I've watched a bunch of channels and it always seems like everyone one is really friendly. My only question is is that because they see the camera?

Not at all. Although it helps break the ice at times
I'm often out there without Mt camera
      Ots the same reaponse

Filipinos are freindly in general but it is very obvious to foreigners, why? It is because of the bisita culture of them. Try to search it what it is and you will amazed. 😄

"Tambay" or "Istambay" = i think comes from "stand by". (i.e. people on stand-by or doing nothing) :)

Saw videos talking about being lonely & no friends/friendless
this video might help them consider visiting the Philippines & experience a very friendly & social environment & somehow adopt some of the positive traits.

Yes absolutely. Realistically I could have asked to hang out with at least of of the people I interacted with. Very friendly people here

They are friendly but also backstabbing. Filipinos are emotional people. Emotions are their life line.

In the southern part, they are. It's why tagalogs dislike them.

Hello Alex. The locals seem very friendly. Do you see a lot of stray dogs? Good for you wanting to help the homeless animals in the future. I’d like to do that too.

@@Livingabroadalex We have a similar problem here in Japan, except with cats. Thankfully, volunteers do TNR (trap, neuter, and release), with the help of a veterinarian so the cats can no longer continue having so many kittens. (Cats can have kittens 3x/year).

@Northern-BC-Life no. I never seen a stray dog in my life. Generally people are very aware of responsible pet ownership and everybody gets their pets neutered or spayed

Of course they are friendly, you are a foreigner. The PI, Thailand, you approach as a question, they are friendly. Now Thais don't wave, I wave to people when going to my farm and they just stare, here if they know you they wave lol

Consider that Manila has 2M people. Any other city that big or bigger, most people are in their own world and get quite apathetic.

I wonder if u would get the same reaction without a camera in your hand? Filipinos are usually attracted to cameras. Maybe experiment part 2 with hidden camera??

    • @Livingabroadalex

      Haha good idea
But yes I'd get the same reaction because I talk to people often when I'm not recording.
