- I walked the streets of Manila and was impressed. The food was amazing but so are the people. Everyone was so kind, and I seriously believe the Philippines is hands down a fun time.

It's good that you didn't know about Balut before having it, hehe. It's actually fertilized duck egg and many foreigners don't even want to try it. I don't know how many days old the one you had was. The 16-days Balut is best for first timers as the embryo is not yet that developed. With the 18-days, you would really feel the bones and feathers, hehe.

As-Salaam-Alaikum! Learned about your vlog by watching Yad's channel. Just like Yad, I appreciate what you do. I don't mean to sound stereotyping but I Hope you can visit the Quiapo district too where there is a large Muslim community and where they serve Halal foods. I wanna congratulate you for eating your first BALUT which normally freaks out tourists because it's an unfertilized duck egg. It's become a sort of Rite of Passage for vloggers here. Haha! You wasted the opportunity. Eating the duck egg, called Balut, or duck embryo is a whole vlog by itself. There's a 21 day old duck inside the egg. Few tourist will try it, you are a brave one.

Hi Walid. Sorry this is slightly off topic. But if you've heard about the New Zealander who got shot in Makati a few nights ago, i hope that doesn't turn you and other foreigner vloggers off. Philippines is generally a safe country. As our Dept. of Tourism Secretary said, that was just an isolated incidence. If you check the crime index rate of Southeast Asian countries, we're actually among the safest countries. Although tbh, crime here is really more concentrated in Metro Manila. But overall, our crime rate is actually even a bit lower than New Zealand's! So the advisory they gave out to their citizens after the incidence is a bit unfair to the Philippines Plus it's not even true. It was very exaggerated.
Anyway, thanks for promoting our country.
