I saw you remove the damper seat and damper spring but made no mention to it. Most extra plate kits such a barnett's require removal of both and not to reuse!
I think I might need a new clutch plate kit for my 2016 FXDLS... I am starting to notice in 3rd-6th gear when I really give it throttle, the RPMs go up quick, but the bike doesn't feel like it is moving much faster..
@@steveglensor9183 I upgraded to the barnett extra plate clutch pack, it's been perfect ever since and way more torque. I was losing a lot due to the worn out clutch
Please help me if you can. I installed a Barnett Extra Plate clutch pack and a Barnett spring that is equivalent to the Harley stock spring. I used Redline Primary Fluid . I installed the clutch to the letter and adjusted it as they said. I cannot get this damn clutch to stop dragging in first gear with the clutch all the way in. I cannot find neutral and the bike is a PITA to shift. I have tried every setting of the center clutch hub screw from 3/4, 1/2, 1/4 and not turns out. None of those setting work....the bike wants to move forward in first gear with the clutch in. I read that some people are actually adjusting the screw in anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 turn IN NOT OUT......What are your thoughts on this. I called Barnett, they are horrible. No customer service whatsoever.
Chris Smith I don’t recall the exact term but it’s just some sort of spring. With this kit you won’t need it any longer. On the stock plates they have that small ring and 1 small clutch plate. This kit in the link replaces it all.
