Move the print head power cable from behind the vertical axis. It can bind up where you have it. Slide the clip closer to the head and snap the black power cable into it.
Great video - I just got the A1 two weeks ago and I already have several spools of filament and 125 hours through it! Now I wish I went with the combo with the AMS lite
Is it able to make internal and external threads ? It would be a nice small desktop printer for making wire bulkhead thread together parts . For example.
Thanks Greg. I have had a 3D printer on my wish list for several years but haven’t pulled the trigger. I’d use it mostly for scale parts/interiors or shop accessories. I’m not scared of the setup or of designing stuff, but I’m turned off by how finicky it all seems (filament choice, storage, failures, etc.) But you made the A1 Mini look straight forward and for the price it’s hard to say no. In some ways I feel like the printer is just a loss leader to get people buying filament. 😂
What do program do u use to design something thays my only problem is i can only print what somebody else made the i would like to find a program that i can take a file and tweek it how i may need it to work for my application
I know I might have heard wrong but the a1 mini combo you are reviewing isn’t actually 180, it’s double that price. Absolutely no hate, I might not understand properly but I’m curious
Only thing I would say is that you kind of want an enclosed printer for anything RC. Accessories are okay out of an A1 mini, like stands and scale bits and bobs, but anything structural like glass filled filaments or nylon for actual structural pieces like wishbones needs an enclosed, preferably heated chamber. PLA/TPU and PETG are all great on the A1 series, and you can get away with printing more sturdy structural filaments on the A1 with an ideal environment and a lot of ventilation but it's genuinley safer and more successful with something like a P1S or Adventurer 5M pro. The problem with an ideal environment (still air, constant ambient temperature, good humidity) is that it is always mutually exclusive with good ventilation (with an open printer... Outside 😂). Using a glass filled fibre or carbon reinforced filament changes a fully 3d printed car from a frequently broken novelty to a genuinely useable basher vehicle. But there can be no doubt about it, anyone into RC should have a 3D printer, and the 'just works' A1 series is it for the majority. One of the biggest use cases is printing body protectors (like the lid/bed skids on an Xmaxx) for essentially free when they wear out!
The glass filiments are actually less strong than standard petg and abs and others. There are many videos out there of people testing and proving this. I have items that I printed on my ender 3 6 years ago in standard pla and it still looks and functions like the day I printed it.
Just got my full size A1 last week and I’m already 13 prints in lol. I’d recommend to anyone thinking of buying the A1 or A1 mini to bite the bullet and get the AMS combo with the printer. I didn’t because I wasn’t sure if I would even like 3D printing, but I now regret that decision lol.
Nice! It is really addictive once you print something out. After I was done with the video, I printed my wife a cat bookmark, so many possibilities with these machines.
The version you have is the combo for $350, not $180. Also, even though they calibrated it at the factory, you should always calibrate it out of the box and it’s also recommended to calibrate after you move it.
Everyone needs to talk about proper ventilation with these machines, especially if you have kids. The fumes given off by certain filaments are terrible for you.

I was excited to see you made a video on this! Setting up the one ole Santa left my kiddos today!
I had gotten an anycubic vyper 7 months ago and it hasn't stopped since. I love printing everyone's really awesome ideas and designs.

I got the A1 for black friday and i absolutely love it. The details you can get out of it is insane. Im very tempted to get the A1 mini.
For the price they’re letting the Mini go for now, it’s insane.

Perfect timing, been thinking of getting one. Was looking at these.
I just ordered my a1 mini today
Nice, I might need to get myself a 3D printer finally! Thanks for the demonstration!
Cool stuff!
Is the one you have the $350? The mini $180 only comes wirh the unit no ams lite.
Can it be packed small, to take along on vacations?
My boy got himself a Bambu labs X-1 carbon. Amazing little unit!
Awesome!
That is very cool, I need this bad boy,
Pretty impressive little machine. 😎
Thank's Greg I've been on the fence with 3d printing butt maybe it's time 👍

LOL, didn’t think of that! But it is a really good printer, decent size, at a crazy price right now.

180 or 360 I’m still shocked at the price…I guess it’s been years since I checked the price on 3d printers 😂
Print the AMS Lite vertical stand. It saves a lot of space if your A1 or A1 Mini is on a table backed up against a wall.

Greg that little A1 mini is better than my two big flash forged five pro machines
Just got mine - however I have to wait until Christmas to open it. Lame. LOL But super excited to play with this. Lots of projects in mind...
Nice. You’ll be able to get that thing up and printing in less than a half an hour I bet.
@@rcdriverhow long do the calibration take?
Mines under the tree 🤟🤟
Awesome! Enjoy it once you get it!
How do you know it’s under the tree lol
@Caleb-C well played sir lol

The problem for me isn’t the learning curve or prices of 3D printers its more of not having a damn spot for one sadly lol
Everyone needs to talk about proper ventilation with these machines, especially if you have kids. The fumes given off by certain filaments are terrible for you.
The problem is they're talked about exclusively by people who don't understand it.
Ender-3 v2 printers are very good too.
The price it’s showing me is $349
That's correct. The price he's talking about is the printer itself.
$180? only for you to give them a good review. i went to look and it isn't that low
There’s a $20 discount code
The combo is 329. The mini is 199 with $20 coupon
Reading is fundamental lol
Yes it is
I just bought one. It is actually $179 lol
