What a great Set you guys had. I remember driving down to see you guys and telling all my friends that "I bet they will change 'Kangaroo' to 'Bonnaroo'" crazy when you actually did!
Phil Lesh (RIP) and Bob Weir always did have a startled moment when they answered the inevitable question, "What's the future look like for you?" Why? Because at the Center of it all is, "What it is like when we play together." in its answer everyone knows is but a report. "A report of What?" "Playing". "And beyond that?" "Since 'it's all music', Play." Long Live The Grateful Dead!
Hilarious! Had a buddy who went to Kimocks studio farm in PA a few years ago and was wearing a Phil T shirt, They made him turn it inside out before they'd let him in! Ha
I was cringing at the end of that interview, mainly due to the interviewer. Besides that, it was fun listening to Bob and Phil. I wouldn’t be surprised though, if they had a little chuckle amongst themselves about how that interview went, You could see in their body language they were forcing themselves to keep it together. I guess that comes from many, many, many years of experience of being on the road and the thousands of gigs they have played.
Holy crap that was painful, especially that promo at the end. I applaud the relative patience Bob and Phil showed during that horror show of an interview
I love it how they love American music so much and realize they are continuing what was already started. And Bobby saying at 3:34-" We didn't do dick"- I'm LMFAO! 😂

@Bob Weir Been an actual fan since Fall 81/Spring 82, Been an incorrigible DeadHead a little bit less, have vague/faint memories of the music but strong with The Other One from maybe a decade earlier as a young 'un. I don't know if it was a "babysitter", an older cousin/young aunt or uncle, a campground on one of our multiple trips zig zagging or other places I'll not shout out. Have tried to find a show close in proximity with that one being played but only seem like those occurred after I was old enough to know. Still hoping to find out that I was dragged to a show anytime but in the Pigpen years would really be intense. If you are indeed the one and only Mr. Bobert Weir I immensely thank you and others from pulling me off a dark path. If you are just someone pulling my leg, that's fine too as I'm no less grateful.

I wonder if this lady knows who she is speaking to. kidding, She interrupted PHIL. Just let it happen. They will play with musicians as they always do.
Good interview in spite of the poor interviewer - she was really pressing it by asking them for a third ID about Free Range. Bob and Phil were good sports.
Alpine Valley is where "Terrapin Station" happened. Wait, Robert Hunter played? I've seen him at clubs and opening for others at arenas but I can't remember Hunter playing but there was a lot happening there and day 2 I was suffering from intense 2nd degree burns that kept me dehydrated and sickly but dosed so it was odd. I met a guy in the First Aid station that was both God and Satan and also from some far Star cluster. A woman I tried to help that seems to have put drops in her eyes and couldn't see but paramedics and maybe security took over.
