Global shutter, it just gives something very nice to the footage. Plus the r3d codec and 6k sensor and the size of camera it makes rigging camera less expensive.
It is an awesome combination. It is more preferable to me than bigger cameras, Alexa, Varicam, Venice..
I just like the small size and i feel it makes me more creative.
Also i like the dynamic range and roll off. Komodo or X will be really nice when Red PL Variavle ND is released ❤

The Komodo looks great. And that was a great commercial. The only thing is, I see so many filmmakers that use cameras with fantastic video quality degrade their footage to look like film or 16mm film. Using grain or mist filters. There is a place for an overly stylized look, but I see it as the filmmaker's main look. Which makes no sense to me. I see this with the Fx3 as well.

I think we do it because we try to get specific mood in the our scene and I using Dehancer that's super good plugin for film emulation.
