- It’s been a while since Slices Uncut has graced Electronic Beats TV, but we knew we had to revive it when we had Chicago legend Boo Williams in the house. In this series EB.TV goes deeper in an attempt to discover more about the artist, and the format allows them to speak their mind on anything from production to music business. A disciple of Chicago house pioneers like Larry Heard and Marshall Jefferson, Boo built a signature driving sound that appeared on seminal labels including Peacefrog, Cajual, Relief, DJAX and Rush Hour.

I love the way Boo Williams doesn't even seem to realise that he's an absolute fucking legend, true genius at what he does.

in terms of character and realness, true.
musically i totally respect his work and consistency since day dot and i'd love to hear him play out at some point although i gotta admit that - as far as i remember from scratch - i don't have one single record by him sitting in my 5000+ vinyl collection. it's more like i do enjoy his stuff when other people play it out but for myself it just doesn't seem to fit properly in my own sets for some reason, even when i play classic house music.
same goes for carl craig btw - amazing producer, loads of respect due but apart from very few releases and remixes his music is just not for me when it comes to playing stuff out.

As a child going to gramerphone. My first cut was glen underground on guidance records and exposure to boo Williamss mars record. It was quick to find myself to see them as my super heroes . The day they got out of that Lincoln navigator SUV. They were super stars to me . Can wait to unite , and discover what incredible talents I spiled out inspired by legends like you 2

Slay bellz he didn't mention much about the FM side of things unfortunately.
Yeah you can hear a lots of FM synthesis in their early tracks, maybe a DX7. And also a Korg M1 on The Parables of S.J.U, but i'm not sure about this one.

What they do in strictly jazz is good style. Not common but is pretty good to loose in the groove away from 1/16 1/32 melodies.
