The terrible efficiency relative to other etc miners makes this a terrible value proposition unless it were maybe half the price
right its like they are just rehashing old hardware. Id be fine with 300ish MH but should be 150watts
Cool product until I saw the USB/OrangePi and all the cable thing. They can definitely do better job integrate all stuff into one. Leave only Power and Ethernet port.

I really see no reason for this miner to exist , why going from easy v1 mini to this complicated miner that need a raspberry pie and extra cables , such a mess
ipollo didn't do a great job producing this asic ,you cant even stack it due to its air flow cooling
It doesn't need the pi if you watch more.
There are 2 ways to run the X1: Connect to the computer through the USB and run by the Orange Pi. You can choose the way you like😃
8:43 you had an space in the worker name. Maybe that is the reason why it did not work.
it looks like a space cause of the . and i both being small it wasnt also see the X1 name changed to ipollo which is what happens when it glitchs I got new firmware for the pi now so will try again and do a full review after I get average hashrates and profit numbers. Everything is still getting tweaked and upgraded for final release so its early testing still new firmware's will be out by release time.

If you were honest, you should say something like this: over complicated, and not efficient, basically a gold one rebranded. One year after the V1 mini, nothing improved. Don’t buy this.
Btw I really think that at least thay should rebrand the v1 Se plus. At least that has efficiencie like the e9 pro.

Rabid since you can get it to work on windows does this mean you can have like 8+ of them connected to one windows host? and to put on the PCIe feet stand plastic thing you need to remove the cover and you’ll see two open holes to connect it, would be cool to see open air rigs or if a few of them can fit in a server case.
@@RabidMining interesting from the video when you highlighted the word to copy it there was a blue extra space highlighted but ok if their was none, THM and RPM did not have any issues, still I was very happy you got it going on a PC making your review even better 👍
Ya would be interesting for sure think that's why it's made this way to stack in mining frames. Not sure how the x1 tool will work if it runs all devices at once would be sweet might need a USB splitter to plug them all in.
@@RabidMining let’s go .. get another X1 and see how the tool change to manage two cards or will it just share the work load and nothing else needed your hashrate will just 2x ?

Not a fan if you need a laptop or desktop to run it. I think that is what the Orange PI was for, but it is not working.
I have new firmware for the power will try it soon but also think they are designed to fire a bunch into a mining frame
@@RabidMining probably, but I like the stand alone concept of the V Mini's. Even in a mining frame you will always need some sort of PC to run them. Each to their own. I just don't like it.

Alot of missed opportunities from ipollo, now imagine this thing as an octominer x8 for 3,500 wirh cpu, ram, storage and the ipollo gui preloaded and a lower power usage. Whole different ballgame!
