"Gonna turn gay" and "nearly pregnant and I'm a male!" killed me!!! LMAO! 😂🤣❤ These 5 guys are absolutely the best thing since sliced bread! I haven't heard one song I didn't like and I've heard their entire catalog (almost 200 videos!) many times over, plus live performances (which are amazing). Originals or covers, they can do no wrong. Please start listening to more HF!! Your subscriber #s will grow quickly...guaranteed! 😉👍
Really enjoyed your reaction. Home Free is something very special. I would suggest you react to “Take Me Home Country Roads” because each member has a solo in it. There is no lead singer. They are all leads, depending on the song.
Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
Austin's voice was made for this song and he completely crushed it. The harmonies woven throughout were exquisite, as they always are with Home Free and Tim's bass line was beautiful. Adam's beat boxing/vocal percussion was fabulous. HIs skills are insane. Thanks for a great reaction.
I would suggest you react to “How Great Thou Art”, “End of the Road”, “Listen to the Music”. For some laughs, try the “Butt Remix”, the “Pop Medley” and “Hillbilly Bone”. All great!
I hope you get the chance to react to their version of "Brothers In Arms". They can sing anything and sound terrific, whether it be a cover or an original.
Yes, Austin nailed it. He gives himself completely here and also plays very well with the cameras. The great harmonies, deep bass and the unbelievably freaking good beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds finish it all off for me. I think it sounds perfect because of all the different beautiful voices. I grew up performing Percy Sledge which I already loved. Then came Michael Bolton's performance where I couldn't say for sure if it was better or not. But this one from Home Free certainly is.
Austin's voice shines in this but don't forget the rest of the guys are doing the backing vocals and also the vocal percussions that make it feel like he's being backed by people playing instruments, it's just a full rich sound from all of them.
No worries about getting blocked by this group - they welcome people playing their music. Everybody in the group can sing, including their insanely talented beatboxer.
I watched an interview Austin Brown had with Patrol Gaming. In it he said that he wanted Rob to sing Nessun Dorma 'cuz he knew Rob had such a good voice for opera. Rob said he wouldn't do it unless Austin did. Insofar as this video, I'm so old that I remember when the late Percy Sledge's was new and I still love it (Michael Bolton's not so much - I thought it rather over-wrought). I think Mr. Sledge would have approved of Home Free's rendition - it's just as good as the original! Love from Canada.
Austin (lead here) and Adam (beatboxer) killed it. This was during Covid so they weren’t even together. I thought the use of the tv’s was clever. Home Free is a great group. You should hear the baritone (Chance) and bass (Tim) sing too. They’re all amazing. Good reaction Tyler.😃
I know I'm late with this comment but I just had to subscribe to your reactions because anyone who has such an appreciation for our Austin as you do deserves acknowledgement from me. His voice is fantastic and his talents are God given. He also has a very giving heart and a tender soul. Thank you for your appreciation of Austin's talents. 🥰
😆 Thanks Tyler! These guys are just perfect in my opinion - just a perfect blend of voices. Look forward to more Home Free reactions. Btw, fans of Home Free are called home fries 🍟 #HFSharpDressedManCover
You should hear Austin's solo rendition of Bring Him Home from Les Miserables. He has other great solo content on the channel where you found the opera performance.
I've never liked this song... but the boys killed it. Fabulous backing harmonies. Extraordinary vocal percussion. Oh, yeah, and Austin's stratospheric lead vocals. Wow. Yup. They can sing pretty much whatever they want.
Thanks Tyler! Great reaction! Love our favorite guy's so much! You're right they never do anything wrong, NEVER disappoint 's us! Considering the way you felt can you imagine how us lady Home Fry's feel? Tim the bass singer said one time that when they released this video to expect an exponential rise in the population! Tim and his singing has a "certain" effect on the ladies to. He has a 5 octave range from basso profundo up to tenor!. I'll trust all the other Home Fry's to give you suggestions, you can always depend on the Fry's, we will never steer you wrong. Can't hardly wait to see you on your journey of Home Free. It's an amazing ride for sure! New sub! Sending love from South Georgia, USA ♥️😀🍟
Subbing for more Home Free. The rabbit hole 🕳 of their videos is deep. They can, and do, sing a wide range of genres. Man of Constant Sorrow, Brothers In Arms, Sea Shanty Medley, Workin' For A Livin' are a few to start with. When you are familiar with each member and his musical role, Mayday.
Enjoyed your reaction....it just doesn't get any better than these 5 guys! I just subbed for more Home Free! If you want to hear each of them sing...check out American Pie...featuring Don McLean ...its absolutely amazing!
This was a great reaction. Austin put his girlfriend next to the camera so he could sing to her... sigh.... please check out Man of Constant Sorrow next.
Austin really shines in this one. Please react to Helplessly Hoping. You will experience true 5 part harmony that is out of this world! btw, I'm a home fry ever since I heard Tim, their bass singer, do Misty Mountains with Peter Hollens.
Jump into some of their collaborations! Listen to “American pie” with Don McLean; “Elvira with the Oak Ridge boys; “children go where I send thee”. with Kenny Rogers; & “Beautiful star of Bethlehem” Was Jeffrey east and the Oaks!! You just barely started listening to their fantastic playlist! Nice reaction!!
Glad I was not drinking coffee when you made that comment -- gonna have to stop it here, number 1 so I don't get blocked, number 2 so I don't end up gay!!!
You won't get a copywrite strike on any HF videos from their Dive Bar Saint's album and after. That's when they started producing their own music so they decided not to do that. Also Austin's & Tim's personal channels are the same. Thx for the video!
Better still, check out Austin's version on his channel. The HF version is a bit odd musically, with the first half reflecting Tim's obsession with doowop and the second half just Austin swooping around. His own version, recorded at home by friend and producer Steven Martinez on guitar and filmed by his gf, has reached 11 million views.
@@patriciamcl54 And I didn't need your rude assessment tacked onto my comment. I really don't care what your opinion is...keep it to yourself or post it individually. Just keep your tainted view away from me is all I aske.
@@arnieadam Dear me, you really don't like anyone to disagree with you, do you? Why are you taking this so personally? You seem unable to tell the difference between disagreement and some personal attack. How old are you, 10 years old? Just leave it, you silly person. FFS. Do something useful with your time
Where Austin scores, apart from having one of the best voices around, is that he sings the song with joy. I always disliked the Michael Bolton version, which suggested that he hated women and love in equal measure. Austin approaches this as a man in love and glorying in it, who knows the consequences but gladly accepts them and knows that she won't treat him bad. I think that's why so many people respond to this supremely romantic version.
If you choose to go down the Home Free rabbit hole.....you have a lot of "WOW!"s ahead of you. I suggest "End of the Road", "Brothers in Arms", and "Seven Bridges Road", for starters. (New sub here)

Austin killed this!! And those looks he's giving 😍😍 please check Austin Brown's cover of Bring him home. You won't regret it. Great reaction 🥰🥰🏠🍟

A certain effect on some ladies. Tim's voice is pleasant but does nothing at all for me.
Apparently, Tim tried to get Austin to take the lead on this song for about 4-5 years before Austin finally agreed.
