Thank you! I can’t wait to make these. I grew my own shishito peppers this year in containers on my deck, and I’ve had really good luck with them. I’ve been grilling/charring them and they are lovely, but every now and then you get a spicy one. But now I’ve got some fun ways to add interest to our summer meals. I agree they are a bit more strongly flavored than bell peppers, but I like that about them.
I like your technique for removing the seeds and stem for the stuffed shishito peppers. I can't wait to try the recipes! Your peppers looks a lot fresher than the ones I find in my grocery store.
Bingo! I just harvested a handful of shishito peppers from my garden. I put them whole in my soup with vegetable greens and eat them. Yum! I'll try some of your recipes. Thanks!
Thank you for all your very informative videos. Your explanation of the ingredients and their connection to the seasons is beautiful. I enjoy your theme meals, Shishito peppers 4 ways, Eggplant 3 ways, Tofu 4 ways . . . :) Thank you.
Hi!! I am Bangladeshi, very new in Japan & trying new recipes using Japanese ingredients. Also tried some of your delicious recipes too 😊 Please share some Japanese dishes using fresh tuna fish🥰
That looks realy tasty. Never saw shishito peppers in my country. But here in germany there are a lot of turkish suoermarkets...they have some peppers which look pretty similar. I will try it with them. Thank you for the clip.✌️😁 Btw: are you living in germany, too? I saw the Bad Reichenhaller Alpenjodsalz and i saw a german vinager ore oil in another clip 😅
not too familiar with the French cooking terms, but Blanche is to boil it before, correct? well, Peppers are not so good for freezing, since it is over 90% water (as most summer veggies are), but if you must, I would suggest freezing it directly.
Last time i was in poland they put drugs in my and a friends drink...propably to robb us...but i can remember some pictures like flashlights of shocked polish faces that we were still able to walk 🤣 we used drugs back then...i think that saved us because our body was some kind of used to it. And luckily our driver did not drink so he was clear minded and we could leave. So my advice: beware of poland 🤣
Thank you so much for these recipes, you've not only gotten me into Japanese cooking but made me realise how much I enjoy cooking altogether!

Great! Where can I find them? Shochiku in DDF?
not sure what Shochiku or DDF means...
How can I freeze these peppers. Do I Blanche them and then freeze them.
not too familiar with the French cooking terms, but Blanche is to boil it before, correct?

Greetings from Hamburg Lohbrügge.
Thanks for visiting
Wow.. 😋
Thank you 😊
Peppers are fruits, not vegetables. Anyway, I LOVE shishito peppers. Good video overall, I'm going to try all 4 recipes
😀😍🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Red ripened Shishito Peppers taste much better than the green ones, but to get them to ripen you have to grow them yourself.
I don't know how you just ate nothing but peppers lol they all look like great side dishes though. Thank you again for another great video
The dishes have meat n bacon tho..
Where did you go? Now we have a boxer…..”chotto komattan’ no desu ne.” doshite desu ka?
Hey bro, u should visit Poland and get drunk
No, that’s not safe for taiji. I disagree.
Getting drunk in a country where he probably knows nothing about is risking his safety.
hahaha, thanx for worrying about me.
I like to drink, but don't like getting drunk anyways, so ill just follow the first part of his advice.
Yea dont get wasted, i'm hungover now

But those side dishes would go nice with some beer
