You will need a SD card reader or adapter
fully charged battery or continuous power adapter / USB battery bank
The Camera Body, with or without an attached lens.

it does, although with the cost of the camera, if this bios fails it REALLY is tears before bedtime

the other one was for the Lumix S5, this is the similar Lumix S5 mk2
You don't need to keep removing the SD card as you can connect a USB-C cable from the computer to the camera and transfer the firmware file to the root of the SD. After the update, you can then delete the file from the SD card in the same fashion.
Hello, Mike! Do you know if it's wise to jump from let's say update 1.0 straight to 2.2 (or the upcoming update they just announced)?

Question, I've never done a firmware update on my S5IIX before, I'm still on firmware 1.0. I heard that I should update previous firmwares before I update the new firmware, but Panasonic's website only has the option of downloading the latest update (1.5).
Do I HAVE to update the latest firmware first or can I just update my camera with the 'New Firmware" and be ok?
just jump to the newest version, that is what i often do

Where can you find the firmware update for proresraw for the s5ii
if it is available as a firmware this is where it will be
laptop is mandatory or firmware can be made from the tablet as well
if the tablet can unzip files and format the drive it is okay
