@ChibiReviews At the first look I think it's quite good. Stunning in terms of visual shown in the trailer to be honest. But I can understand the reason why people are doomposting already since the studio has had constant production issues across Zom 100.
Yeah sure, the studio behind this anime is the same one behind Zom 100. Despite Zom 100's horrible schedule, you can't deny it was a beautiful and fun show. People's "disappointment" is warranted cuz we could get the same thing for this show, which i don't wish for. But I hope it creates a fandom just as good as Frieren cuz that's how good of a story it is.
I don't think zom 100 is on "horrible schedule" cause Most TV schedules are tight and "horrible". It's on the Animation producer who manages the Show in any production (good or bad)
Honestly as long as it looks good, I don't personally care about waiting one or two weeks more between certains eps. Several months or even a year before it begins would be rough since we've wauted 2+ years for this, but even then I would still like the anime if this time allow them to work well. Maybe it's just that I'm used to anime original crews doing their best and still encountering problems, or because I'm an Uzumaki fan who has seen the previous Junji Ito adaptations and the current delayed one - I just feel like it's better to take more time to do it well, than to rush it and end up with a bad result.
I honestly hate when people always say negativity to a show about how it will go before it even aired, you can't just assume something that'll be a failure until it releases, It's not even a opinion.
More than criticism, it's fear, Bug films is objectively a new studio, they only have one previous work, and it did have a very bad production even though the anime overall was very good
Actually in most cases there accurate, if you seen all the woke shows then you would understand, honestly most things are and aren’t accurate you know? Like that saying never judge a book by its cover, will you can judge on somethings like if a guy had blood all over his fist and he a murderous look then you can judge, and what a bout a hot lady with a knife and blood on her ?
The crazy thing to me is that the trailer wasn't even bad. In fact I think the trailer was extremely good. It was a name of a studio they saw in the trailer that makes people second think and that just doesn't sit well to me.
You're right because every other fantasy anime that has come out has been a Cookie cutter generic power fantasy with cute girls being eye candy only. I'm assuming
witch hat atelier is objectively one of the best fantasy manga, every1 knows that, but i honestly don't see how it can be adapted, much of what made it great is tied to heavily to it being a manga.
@@Bt-cq6te agreed. The way WHA makes the manga panels apart of the world and how characters would interact with them is what made it so fun to read. I kean, the internet is yet to grasp the concept that people learn from their mistakes. I'm sure Bug Studios had learned a lot from their experience with Zom 100 and learned how to tackle their future projects. Although their philosophy to give their animators time instead of cram was probably out of good intent, it definitely killed the hype for the show. Personally, I have high hopes. This is one of my favourite currently running manga series. I am extremely hyped because this legitimately made me love fantasy again and makes me want to write a fantasy story of my own.
Witch hat atelier is not even my genre, but the art and writing for this manga is so God tier I was instantly hooked. One of the most creative manga artists I've ever seen. It deserves the best treatment possible. 🙏🏼
It’s so annoying to see people have the stars align for their series to get an amazing adaptation and still complain about it. Meanwhile one of my favorite series(One Punch Man) gets the fast food of anime studios for its adaptation AGAIN
I remember when I grow up that I see something if its good to me I watch when something is not really good I just dont care and move on without making any noise of it. You let people enjoy there things even its niche
IMO it won't fail, but it will be an uphill battle for sure, adapting a very unique manga like Shirohama's Witch Hat manga was always going to be really hard because a lot of the visual elements that made the manga so unique came for the way she used paneling and page layouts in extremely creative ways I never saw before. Turning that into an animated show will come with a lot of challenges of how do they plan to handle these elements, will they try to transion them to animation equivalents (which might not work as effectively as in the original manga medium) or will they just ignore them completely (which might disappoint a lot of fans), so it feels like a lose/lose situation. Also it will get compared to Delicious in Dungeon and Frieren as the third prominent pure fantasy (a.k.a not an isekai) manga to get adapted recently, so it already got tough competition from the starting line. Either way hope the studio can pull it off without any hiccups or production problems (the music at least is guaranteed to be great since it's one of the composers on Elden Ring/Dark Souls who used to work for Fromsoftware, Elden Ring especially has an amazing OST, just check Ancestral Beast theme as an example of her previous work, it's phenomenal)
imagine the quality of Frieren, but with more action and more drama, best power system i've seen in a fantasy manga. and the moral dilemmas, it's the type of story where the heroes make great points to their motives but so do the villains
I’m so hyped for this anime! 😭💖 I’m up to date with the manga and it’s top tier. People have to calm down since BugFilms is relatively new. Could there have been better planning for making episodes and getting them out in a timely manner? Yes and I feel like they will hopefully learn from that and shit just happens that are out of people’s control. From what we got from the teaser I’m blown away. It shows the commitment to capture Shirahama-sensei’s fantastical world as close as they possibly can. I knew it would not be 1 to 1 with the manga because the arts style is insanely detailed. The music captures the fantasy vibe very well and I look forward to seeing more of the soundtrack when it comes out in the future. It’s easier said than done, but I feel like it’s ok to be hyped for a manga you love getting made into anime, but people have to not let the hype get to them and then be severely disappointed and shit on the studio. They are human at the end of the day and as long as they put as much effort as they can then that’s all that matters. Plus it disheartens me that people are already dooming the anime from just a simple teaser and who is working on it. At least it’s not Mappa at the end of the day. Plus people do not realize that the Shirahama-sensei the actual mangaka is helping by attending meetings that BugFilms is doing. So at least she is having a say in things to help make the best outcome possible and the studio wants to meet her expectations as well. If you are trashing the PV and the studio then you are trashing the mangaka as well. People should read the Q&A done at AX to see the studio and the mangaka’s thoughts. Sorry for the long rant because this series is near and dear to my heart and I’m just grateful this is getting an anime at the end of the day. Yes it could have its hiccups along the way once it finally releases, but I’m still going to be over the moon with watching the characters and world I adore in motion. ✨ I’m just overall sick of people not giving it a chance and are trash talking it because of the studio and their past issues and in general jumping the gun. Also I’m excited for more merch and figures from the series and I want a WHA shrine. 😭😂
I’ll come back to this video when the anime airs because I’ll be like “oh yeah chibi made a video on that” I hope I have 1 million subs by the time the anime comes out
I am a fantasy lover. I love LOTR-esque settings for example in Frieren, Mushoku. And I heard about WHA (Witch Hat Atelier) about 2 years ago when there were rumors about its anime. At that time I controlled myself from reading the manga. Since then I've always checked what is the status of anime and always felt disappointed. Even this title after reading I thought was a clickbait. Then I watched the trailer myself. The music got me teared up, this rarely happens and after seeing the staffing of this one I'm happy that one more fantasy is getting what it deserves. I'm Excited!
I do hope it does well because Bug Films has a lot of potential and I like their goals. If it is a success, I just hope it doesn't became yet another "studio created to escape a toxic workplace only to become a toxic workplace"
Tbh. It really seems like people are trying to find any excuse to be negative nowadays. Which makes it hard to sort out the legitimately good and bad stuff. A bunch of people who didn't even know what Witch Hat was before the announcement are just trying to start drama. Even putting aside all the production issues. Zom100 was still great. People care more about perception and hype than they do the actual anime.
Probably just a coping mechanism. Witch hat manga is more popular and better received than Zom100. It is even more popular than Dungeon Meshi and older than Frieren. Expectation is sky high, and the community has been edging for a studio announcement for years.
I'm adding this to my watchlist now. The beginning of Zom100 was really good imo. If they can deliver a show that holds its quality throughout, I'd like to be there to see it firsthand.
Thanks for breaking it down. I just woke up and was what...wtf is happening in the past few hours. Looks like the studio has the talent, but not so much the mangement (beyond just directors). I hope they learned from their previous speedbumps. I'm optimistic for this anime. It's still a long half a year before 2025 after all.
What are these people talking about? The people working on it are literal legends. I haven't read it yet but I always buy the volumes when they release for my little sister. She LOVES it. The way the magic looks reminds me of Howl's Moving Castle. I'm definitely watching it.
I mean I can understand how they feel I don’t want another zom 100 or even nier which came back yesterday wit production issues or Covid or whatnot ! Hope the Quality is shown like the trailer and I hope they do good
I pray so much that it will be good. Witch hat atelier is my favorite manga ever. I am big fan of Frieren or Oshi No Ko (I got into manga before anime) and together with Atelier I consider them my big 3 but even among them Atelier is winning. The art is just supreme... author is extremely talented. The story is pure magic fantasy... with all the wonders we loved as kids dreaming of being part of wizard world.... and it also has great dark side and questions morality so well. I feel like it is the only manga I ever read where not a single chapter failed to impress me. So this is definitely a series that deserves good anime treatment so much!
I do hope that the adaptation will live up to the manga, it’s been considered impossible due to the distinct art and paneling of the Manga but I like how the trailer looks. I’m more worried about the anime running out of source material and muddling the story with filler. It’s only 12 volumes long right now and the story is a bit on the slow side, so I’m worried they condense moments into single episodes and then have to make up stuff
I read dungeon meshi manga because I couldnt hold from waiting weekly from more episodes, and when I finished it I wanted more, so I looked that a lot of people who like dungeon meshi ended up reading witch hat atelier because of the similar setting. And after catching up with the manga, it has become my favorite.
I am THE MOST excited for this show of any upcoming show. It looks absolutely beautiful. Even if Witch Hat has to go to an every other week release schedule in order to maintain quality I'll still call it worth it.
okay i didnt know it was bug films taking witch hat. now i am a little scared… i love witch hat dearly. i hope they have figured it out by now and that them announcing it now to be released in 2025 that they are in preproduction in order to not allow that to happen again
Witch Hat is my favorite manga ever, the trailer didn't particularly excite me but I'm so happy to get more WHA content and I'm really pleased and surprised that Yuta Kitamura is acting as composer!!
I’ve been a fan of the series since the manga came out, and this is literally the best series I’ve EVER seen and the anime will be great if it follows along with the manga. It’s a beautiful series. Best.
This manga was lowkey but when I saw it I was like it’s def getting a anime - it look decent … at least what u 0:57 showed so far (edit) 3:19 ahhhh studio
I've been reading Witch Hat for almost a year now, and without giving out spoilers, if they do manage to faithfully adapt the manga (and while I admittedly finish it, from what I watched of Zom100 I thought it was great), it'll be no problem for it to reach the level of quality that Frieren reached. Popularity is a whole other factor, but the story itself is fantastic imo
I’m gonna be optimistic because I’d rather spend my time waiting hopefully and not worriedly. And it looks wonderful with animation. Even if it’s different, it’s just a different art media. Literally the message of the anime is hope. And although some people are calling it a failure, there are plenty people, like me, who are absolutely pumped.
This is pure peak, it’s definitely gonna do well when it drops. Idk where the haters coming from, animation looks well, the manga is amazing and the soundtrack is going to be crazy!
What the heck nooo the trailer so beautiful and ya it’s hard to convey that into animation it’s still pretty. I’m cool if they need to downplay on the art. Tho the art of the manga is like Picasso level of professional art. And with the animation industry as it is ya I get it.
Not gonna lie but almost all concept and opinions are vague, like sometimes you can judge a book by its cover, if you seen Star Wars acolyte then that would fit the judge of the book, but in most cases you can’t, it’s like that saying not everyone has a stereotype, some stereotypes are real and some are not, old people shouldn’t be driving, blonde people aren’t dumb, and celebrities depending on who they are, are dumb and Japanese animator’s are such tormented souls
Of Course, many people had problems with the deadline issues of ZOM 100, but I didn't really mind it tbh. Of course, it killed a lot of the hype and momentum for the show, but it's better to finish the anime, than ending it early i'd say. We still got the full season of ZOM 100 at some point and i'd even argument that it's a good thing, that they're not that tight with scedules. It just shows, that they are really giving their animators a lot of freedom and comfort, which is really good in my opinion. Also, ZOM 100 was their first Anime, and of course things don't work out the first time, you need experience for that. It's just important that they've learned a bit from the ZOM 100 "disaster" and do more work before the actual airing. It's only natural that the first anime that you do has issues. Just look at the author of Jojo's. Before Jojo's, all of his mangas were kind off considered trash.
I’ve seen a couple ppl fear the production wha may face given how Zom 100 went down with Bug Films but not enough to require an entire video about wha being doomposted. I think the general reaction has been pretty positive or am I tripping?
Someone help me out here, what is that anime called, I dunno if it's out now or not, but it's one where the dungeons are all faked amd staged by the monsters, kinda like setups for the main characters. Something like that. I dunno if I even made sense.
Witch Hat Atelier is like Promised Neverland without the cuisine part. So I really, really have high expectations for the anime version since I love the manga.
It was confirmed by an attendee of the panel that the footage from the PV is all part of a final cut for the first episode, not for the sake of the trailer. Please edit your description and pinned message to let people know.
Do you think it'll fail before it even releases?
Y don't think so because the manga was so good but only because the art and the story were so good but y have hope

Best.
jesus. what a timeline im in. The framing in the manga is so creative, its got that pull. im so looking forward
This manga was lowkey but when I saw it I was like it’s def getting a anime - it look decent … at least what u 0:57 showed so far (edit) 3:19 ahhhh studio
It's a wholesome story with wholesome characters and BEAUTIFUL art work. If you start of with good stuff like that, I'm sure the anime will be fine
Don’t worry guys, ai are replacing in-between artist so animation will be smoother than a snowball
the trailer is good not sure why those doomposter exist but I guess those people wanna farm something ???
I've been reading Witch Hat for almost a year now, and without giving out spoilers, if they do manage to faithfully adapt the manga (and while I admittedly finish it, from what I watched of Zom100 I thought it was great), it'll be no problem for it to reach the level of quality that Frieren reached. Popularity is a whole other factor, but the story itself is fantastic imo
I think its a PRETTY good anime (im being honest)
tbh the doomposting is mostly on reddit, it had a ton of excitement on twitter and the wha community
I saw some tankobons of witch hat atelier in a book store 2 days ago . Didn't know there was an anime coming
Im pretty sure you pronounce atelier as "ah - tell - ee - yay"
i read the manga, its great, i didnt even know there was an adaptation coming, spectacular, cant wait
Hi Chibi hope you're having a great Friday
Please don't let this be a failure
Listening to this while in line at AX!!
This is pure peak, it’s definitely gonna do well when it drops.
Idk where the haters coming from, animation looks well, the manga is amazing and the soundtrack is going to be crazy!
Who is everyone?
I love the manga. Can't wait for the show!
Saludos al dumposting
When I first saw the trailer Chibi I wanted it to blowup and be mainstream couldn’t believe that people will doom it
looks fantastic I'm hyped
El universo es doomposter
Who?!?
All I'm seeing is praises and excitement
Lets see, I bet its going to be amazing
Ive been waiting for years no ones spoiling my fun
oh shit, I just started reading this, I had no idea it was getting an anime
Yo it’s so good I have the whole book series
This anime looks like it's gonna make me cry. Please, someone tell me that's ture
What the heck nooo the trailer so beautiful and ya it’s hard to convey that into animation it’s still pretty. I’m cool if they need to downplay on the art. Tho the art of the manga is like Picasso level of professional art. And with the animation industry as it is ya I get it.
Bug Films are former OLM Summer Time Rendering staff.
All we need now is the orv announcement tomorrow 😎
DOOMPOSTING???
Amo dum?
People were doing the same when Kaiju no 8 first couple of episodes came out. But now they can’t say anything.
Before Witch Hat Atelier's Debut: "This anime is definitely going to fail 😏"
Me at Launch: "Hold my remote! 🤩"
bruhh, i think the animation is great, i didn't like the first half of the trailer for feeling a bit stiff, but damn, Quifrey was just so coool
El mangaka está expandiendo la saga poniendo apariciones del doomposting en otras partes. Un saludo a la ariopandilla y al ruinaversal.
Lol what it is one of the Best mangas I have readed
I think the general reaction has been pretty positive or am I tripping?
lmao i just discovered this manga 3 days ago i catch up immediately to the current arc
Someone help me out here, what is that anime called, I dunno if it's out now or not, but it's one where the dungeons are all faked amd staged by the monsters, kinda like setups for the main characters. Something like that. I dunno if I even made sense.
Saludos a doomentio
i love ur vids please dont die
tf you saying kid? Don’t jinx it.
Bug films can make incredible animation if they have the time.
I'm worried that its studio bug film is working on this...
Talk about the mexican Chris chan, dumentio
Plz 🙏
