Now I see your note! That was funny! I might have missed it because I usually listen to videos while I do other tasks. I’m glad I caught it this time. Great video as always! BTW, my daughter, Eve, thought your note was sweet and said to tell you that you’re not a terrible pen pal. I enjoy your letters, and I too am very slow to write back.
Good idea... I have already been down the glass dip pen path, that was not good. And I also looked at the Pilot/Sailor dip pens. No good for me sooo...... I am using an old Pilot Metropolitan that had a bad nib and replaced it with a Wing Sung nib and that is my dip pen and it works well because it has the nib and feed. Writes a good while without re-dipping.
I find that no. 4.5 or no. 5 nibs are the best for nib holders. The 4.5 is the size that fits best. The 5 is a tight fit. This is why the Twsbi Eco nib fits well but the Pilot doesn't.
I just tried this with a Lamy Joy and 1.1 stub. Worked perfectly!! Cheers!
What a brilliant idea; I'll definitely be trying this!
Let me know how it goes!
I have a few inks that feel super dry and keep skipping if in the pen too long...that might be a good alternative, I'll definitely try it.

Thanks Sara! Tell Eve hi for me!
@@DowntheBreatherHole I will!

Nice! Yeah, you can use an empty fountain pen as a dip pen. That's a good solution.
@@DowntheBreatherHole It kept me from banging my head on the wall because I did not like the options out there.
Interesting, thank you!

I didn't know there was such a thing as 4.5 nibs. Thanks for the info!
@@DowntheBreatherHole They're less common, but I've heard of it around (I consume a lot of fountain pen media)
