PLEASE keep these coming as often as possible. I literally only use RUclips to give a thumbs up for this show.
LOL, Pearley.. "I can fit all my friends in a Miata" (I wanted him to add "with one seat to spare"). Love ya, Pearley!
Two weeks in a row, I love it!
WRX hands down. It would be a riot as long as it has head gaskets.
I don’t need a car and don’t want a new car but I love watching these shows.
Once had to cram 5 adults with ski & snowboard gear into a bugeye WRX. Wouldn't do it again but worked at the time.
I loved this challenge. Please do this every winter but make the price cap lower. Another challenge to do would be great college cars.
5k price cap is more realistic for winter beater, but 2k would be fun
I commute back and forth from Cleveland to Indy about 30 times a year (650 mile round trip) How about an episode for best road sled for under $10K ~ $15K to keep miles off my good car? Love the show 😊
eye roll by K.C. @ 0:18. Pure Gold!!!
The chain preventative job on that 4.2L audi is $10k. Taking the engine out and getting to the chain which is in the back by the trans is an enormous labor cost. And the timing chain will go eventually. My best friend had to do that job on his '05 s4, same engine.
With that being said I also want Jonathan to buy it
Yup…. Even changing the alternator is an engine out service I believe
I have a few more ideas:
Best sounding car
Best car to restore
Best 2 project cars to combine into one running legal car
Best car loved or hated by David E.
Window Shop challenge: Best Ad Copy
Yooooo y'all back so soon?? 🎉🎉🎉 Keep it up!
I just bought a winter beater at auction for 1400 bucks and it's a 2004 Volkswagen beetle convertible with a blown head gasket. Fixing it up now but should be fun in the winter. Aside from the convertible part.
The SVX is beautiful. I would love to restomod one and drop in an sti drivetrain and just cruise. No shot I'm taking it on salty snowy roads it's too sexy
2004 forester XT- 5 speed
two in one month? nice
The problem is with a beater you have to put thousands into it or you risk it leaving you stranded. My winter car I just bought was a 24 Outback wilderness. No interest in a beater, needs to be reliable and I have no time to drive crap.
Likely an older 4WD SUV would be the best choice, the Subarus came the closest to the spirit of the challenge. A 1990's-early 2000's mid-sized GM FWD car would be good too.
Episode idea: radwood 3 car solution
12K!? That is wayyyy expensive for a beater. I bought a 99 Olds Bravada with 154K on the odo, 3yrs ago for $2500. 3yrs later, 1k (tires...which I bought used, a few odds and ends repairs) & its still reliably going with 167k on it. So total investment So far is $3500. So 12K, unless I'm missing something, should get you a great used beater lol.
Ok, that was an entertaining video.
The Avenger though, LMBO! When I buy a Sherp, transplant a Hellcat motor in it and convert it to a campervan, I'll pick y'all up on the way to drive it top speed off Santa Monica pier into the Pacific. 🤣❤️🙏
Chrysler Crossfire?
You should add a poll to the video and let the viewers vote for the best. Pearly wins this one, a winter beater is cheap, good in the snow and semi reliable. 12k is way too much, $5k should be the upper limit. Cause really if you were gonna spend $12k you could just lease a small awd car/cuv for 3 years and then you know its not going to break down.
What world do you live in that someone has a $12,000 winter beater????? Holy crap
Is that expensive or cheap ?
@@Spiritcr1jsherreally expensive in my opinion, I'd almost say any winter beater should be under $3k if possible
I think the 12,000 dollar number is related to the inflation in used car prices. I am still stunned by the difference in to 10,000 dollar used cars pre-pandemic/post-pandemic. Prior to the pandemic you really could get a very nice used for 10,000 dollars, but now you have to very cautious with what you buy for 10,000 dollars.
I thought this would be about the best cars for beating winter on a $12 000 budget. I'm not interested in $2000 cars that will spend more time in the shop than on the road
A winter beater that leaks oil all over the place on your driveway everywhere it's called a Subaru
Wow! Two weeks in a row! Careful, you may lose the “occasional” label.
Video idea: best car involved in a scandal
Video idea: cars most likely to make it to 300 or 590 k. You could include or exclude Toyotas to make it more interesting.
Video idea: the car that will be most improved with bigger/better wheels and tires. Budget includes w+t
Great suggestions.
Best cars involved in a scandal would be led by a DeLorean.
I was thinking audi 5000. I think the crazier the controversy and corresponding example car. Things like Firestone tires and gm key cylinders would bore me.
And exclude recent vw history
The winner may be the one with a 1930’s GM bus after the general purchased and shut down all those trolly system.
By the time you’re done with maintenance in the Audi, you could’ve bought a new Corolla!
You guys really need to take Reality into consideration.
2 min 55 seconds into the thing and there are questions about "what is a beater?" Congrats, another excellent production! LOL. I'm just glad you guys dont write like you do these videos. 😆😆
Pearlie was the only one who got this right. He got the Price rite the car right he got everything right you were all ridiculous with your other choices
Nah Honda CRV all the way.
You guys have no idea what a winter beater is. It's the cheapest car you can find that will run through the winter and possibly not breakdown. You need cheap cheap cheap something you don't care if it falls apart and after the winter that's what a winter beater is guys let's get with it
Pearly's pick should be disqualified, doesn't even run!
I’m sorry but 12k for car with over 120k miles…… beater days are done….
You have topic gold but with no real emotional hook or actual experience this is a boring video. Potential here.
