  • The final birding video in the Michigan series, we look for new birds for the 300 Bird Challenge in Holland and Shiawassee before returning to Ontario, Canada.
How many more birds can we add to our count?
I'm aware that the caption for "Northern Pintail" contains a typo.
*** Coming soon! Our two weeks of birding in Florida. These videos will be uploaded as soon as I can get through some of the editing. Stay tuned to the channel!

I love the road trip format (although there's no place like home). I look forward to the Florida footage too. Oh, and I'd say "Lesser"!

For the Scaup? I'll add it to the randomiser 😉
      Appreciate the ID 😊

Shiawassee is my neck of the woods! You need to come back during the summer and do the drive, there is always a ton of stuff in the back of the refuge. You also need to come back to Michigan to get the Kirtland’s warbler. You get into their territory about an hour and a half north of Shiawassee and there is a stop along the way up north where you can probably get a yellow headed blackbird.

Thanks for the tips. I can imagine it would be a great place at a more seasonal time of year.
We definitely left Michigan with the sense that we want to go back and see more, so I hope that can happen.

Fantastic video and thumbnail! The pheasant comment made me laugh so hard ('do I count'?)... I really enjoyed the pileated, male yellow sapsucker and titmouse (they're so cute! I've never seen one... hopefully some day soon) and of course everything. Looks like you guys had a great trip, thank you for sharing it with us!

Missed you guys. Welcome back. You can certainly see how people can mistake the pileated woodpeckers for Ivory billed woodpeckers. I personally believe they are still around, albeit in extremely low numbers and in extremely remote areas, possibly in Louisiana or Mississippi etc

The Search for The Ivory-billed Woodpecker. Sounds like a good RUclips series 😉

Thank for the Muskrat footage 😊 I could start a new RUclips channel on just them alone lol.
There’s something about them I quite like, luckily I have lots of them right out back of my property.

I hope you don't take it as an insult when I say that you cross my mind when I see a Muskrat 😉😂

Come to Israel! I'm 14 and I saw 251 species since the start of the year while only being able to actually go birding on Saturday (school) i think a week here would totally help ... Although I don't know how accessible Israel is right now but it's pretty safe if you manage to get a flight😉

Our rules for the 300 Bird Challenge mean that we are only allowed to count birds on the eastern side of North America.... BUT! Outside of this challenge, we'd love to visit different countries to see all the birds we can 😊🐦
      Thanks for watching!
