in a past few days i do quick research about Dizi and things (haven't tried any of those) and so suddenly my english accent become singaporean (im Indonesian). Neat upgrade, tho. thanks for the video.
It will be better using the dimo (dizi membrane). We do sell dizi membrane in our stores and ship them world-wide, you can grab them using this link, do get the erjiao to paste the membrane as well: eight-tones.store/dizi-accessories/dimo-erjiao/
ive been using tape too although you can risk damaging the finish on the wood if you use tape it will also produce a slightly different sound i feel its a slightly deeper tone than if you use a membrane
I've tried looking up tutorials for how to properly blow into the dizi, but I just can't seem to get it. Any help would be greatly appreciated (please and thank you).
You guys are so underrated, I really appreciate the content you give, it's very helpful

omg thank you so much for the guide now i can put the membrane or whqt else on my flute❤❤

ive just been using good old fashioned scotch tape instead of a membrane and its served me well over the years
It works, but the membrane gives the Dizi its unique tone
Hello, do you teach someone from Europe as well? (Online lessons) Just how would the time difference affect its possibility to be taught by you?

I blocked the hole of the instrument with scotch tape, is it okay? If not, what should I block it with?

I stuck the membrane and it sounded fine but the next day it sounded screechy 😢 what should I do?
Blow into your membrane then adjust a bit
What is that. Erjiao ? Where can I get some?
Hi, you can get it from our store website: eight-tones.store/products/er-jiao/
Does it go on the first hole? Or another one?
only the hole next to where you blow on the Dizi
at the bottom there will be two holes kinda distanced from the rest you put it over the one on the left

Would you be open taking up online lessons? We do offer online lessons.
You can email in to contact@eight-tones.com.sg
@EightTonesMusic I've been considering looking into lessons, but at the moment I'm not able to afford it.
I appreciate that you replied.
Thank you.
I don't know i did all that yet my dizi wont work i even did every tutorial i don't know if its fake or what cause its completeley hollow
It is supposed to be hollow, but there should be a cork at the end of the Dizi.
sometimes it feels like teh sound of dizi is so dull, ive been playing for a whiel but i cant make that beautiful sound, Its either Dull or screechy
You need a good teacher to master the Dizi well.
I tried 10x watching this video but it seems I can't get the tone just like you did, please help me
Would you like to sign up for our online lessons? You can email us at contact@eight-tones.com.sg
I dont know why, but when i put it on the Dizi,it dont make much sound and when it do its not good, its really high pitch
Will need a Dizi teacher to help you with this. Would you be keen to have an online lesson?
Too hard... I surender to fate..
I paste very much but cant sound like this
Keep trying!
