it wasn't "remixed" per se. The original (and the only one BY Suzanne Vega) was/is acapella.. This version was not only un-official it was illegal at the time. They've long since settled, but at the time Vega was a little upset about it.

This is the most minimalistic song I've ever heard! A song so short but remains a permanent stain in my memory! I was 14 when this came out. 30 years has gone by super FAST!! Let's just hope this song will be in people's memories for another 30 years and beyond! I also love the energy this gives! This is one of those motivational get up and go type of songs that would get me through school 🏫 when the 🚌 strike was going on around 91-92 🏫 season. This song is definitely worth the download!
