As a tank player I actually enjoy playing Mauga (yes even Mauga mirrors), but it's understandably sad that so many other people hate playing with/against him... hope Blizzard can eventually find a good middle ground for everyone.
Kinda hard to find a middle ground when people aren't willing to budge on their ideals They see mauga orisa or hog and all of em are immediately met with hate and anger and people don't wanna hear a word out of anyone as to what could be done they just want them deleted and don't wanna have a discussion about it Mauga as a tank overall can work well but nobody wants to hear that they're angry and spiteful and just want to see the character removed to make them feel better
@sebastianrodriguez8992 No one is rejecting a balanced form of mauga. He's just too much of a comfort pick. His skill floor is rock bottom and his entire skill ceiling is just timing. The reason mauga is horrible and moira is ok is because moira is a trash hero. Y the hell is mauga meta again lol. Yk ur hero design is horrible when metro gets t20. Tbf it is way better now then on release. Then again I stopped playing comp tank rq after maugas release so I'ma bit biased.
@user-id8ey5io3ocope. Mauga is actually good and the other tanks arent. Thats the real problem. Hitscan guns that can shoot fliers and hard to hit targets are awesome. And him being able to poke if he wants to is perfect. Sorry but reinhardt and the other tanks arent just trash. Not maugas fault they suck.

I've gotten back into overwatch after not playing for the longest time recently, and Mauga has been one of the character's I've been trying to get a grip on, and this video put into words a lot of helpful things - particuarly in regards to Cardiac Overdrive use, which I had been using strictly as a panic button, and the importance of armor management.
Step 1: Locate your mouse Step 2: identify the left and right click Step 3: press and hold the clicks Step 4: turn your brain off That’s how you play mauga
It may work until enemy team has at least 1 player who know what they're doing, you're gonna need good aim, positioning and cool down management as well (I didn't even watch the video yet)
playing mauga into poke like sig zen ana with passive teammates is an insta-lose, i hate that so cool character is so one-sided and how the hell you can use your E when you have armor if enemy just plays slow, like you never have a moment when you can use E, have them on fire and have armor at the same time. EVERY game i play mauga into dva/sig genji/reaper/soj/ashe/widow zen/kiri/ana, its so hard, they even use their suzu to cleanse my ignited targets while shooting me in the face dealing more damage than i can possibly deal because my face is a size of a bus
Like lowkey mauga is a problem in most midlater AND YOU HELP THEM I normaly dont hate on youtubers but youre making the game less enjoyable for everyone BUT the mauga. You could get views in TONS OF WAYS
I like current Mauga so much more than when he released, his slam has so much more of his power budget than it did before and its way more fun than having it in Cardiac Overdrive. One thing I would like them to try is maybe nerfing his ammo from 300 to 150-200 and then buffing his reload speed so he can't spam into a tank as long without hurting his ability to kill squishies. Also I love the videos for the abilities intros lol very funny
That change wouldn't make him shoot tanks any less would just add a slight moment off breather before the flood of damage comes back plus the reload speed buff would just counterbalance any dps he might have lost
Mauga's been meta in pro play and scrims even before the buff. It's so boring, but no-one cares about it :/ Also me watching the video to see if there's any info that would help playing against him
Why would you do this to the community :( he's not even too strong but he's so annoying, not even including the sound of that minigun constantly firing all match is one of the least satisfying things in any game.
