The story about protecting the kid rings true to me. When I was in elementary school 3 rd grade I was a wimpy kid. This was at the time of segregating the schools in the south. First time for most of us to be around someone of another race. Anyway I had a big kid bullying me all of the time. This older African American kid saw this happen and didn't like it. He came over and got the bully off of me . He then put his arm around me and told me not to worry because if that kid ever bothered me again that he would take care of him. The bully never bothered me again. At this time I could not figure out what all these people were doing trying to keep us segregated. This experience has been a factor in my treatment of other people all my life. We are all of the human race. Two things , always keep it real and treat others as you wish to be treated. Thanks for telling your.

I fully agree with the man here but unfortunately most schools have a zero tolerance situation. I tell my sons the same thing and teach them how to fight but it’s important to let your kids know to take that bully out AWAY from the school
