Top comment, exactly that these youtube idiots and so many on the roads screaming free this person and free that person or like this idiot talking about its a shame the guy is in prison. After the person has committed, and found guilty of a serious crime you still get fools acting as if they innocent.. These people should be locked up and prison set alight, these people are no use to society and bring nothing good to the world

I have a lot of respect for people who can turn their creative talent into success, or a form of self-expression that appeals and speaks to others. There is definitely an element of literary ability, of mastery over the English language and literature, inherent within rap, drill; all those genres and subgenres were wordplay, vocabulary, lexicons are an intrinsic element. And I know young people of all colours, eras and socioeconomic classes have always venerated the criminal outsider, the rebel, the antihero. But truly, if we are hitting our developmental milestones right we all wise up and realise that people don't go to prison or commit crime because they are cool and talented. They go to prison and commit crime because they are failures in life. Different genre and different country I know, but take TAY-K, going to spend the next six decades of his life locked in a cage, being told when to eat, shit and shower. He was aged 17 and traded five minutes of fleeting, somewhat niche and esoteric RUclips fame for his entire life and freedom. Fleeting fame for a Federal Prison. He did some evil, ugly, despicable crimes against totally innocent people, destroyed his own life and his victims and their families... And what good did he do himself? While some people vaguely remember the story of a rapper on the run releasing music while murdering middle aged family men, most don't even remember his name. And he's still flossin' behind bars...with the horrible realisation yet to set in, that he is perhaps the dumbest MF to have ever walked the earth. Success requires being smart. Going to prison is a sign of stupidity, and inadaquecy. I should know. Anyone who has been inside, "successful" grime artist or not, knows what type of people you will find there; the lowly inadequate, the immature and misguided, the exploited and vulnerable. The people you definitely don't ever want be, and if you are one, embrace transformative change.
Shit like this is why certain youts ain't got a chance. Destruction is conditioned and promoted. Imagine a 15 year old seeing you can make a mill in jail but not working.😂😂
Jail gives rappers the opportunity to work with other rappers from the other side of the country, rappers that wouldnt work together otherwise are doing freestyles together. Hearing a scouser on a beat with a londoner is so refreshing
Half lost to tax, half lost on weed and smart phones in jail, come out broke lol, mover never spending a penny of the money he makes from music and that’s a fact
Although I know you're talking strictly rap here (and probably from within the UK) but Varg Vikerness, in Norway put out some Burzum albums from Prison, back in the 90's. He was in on some serious charges as well. Stabbed a fella like 40 times and set fire to a bunch of churches. Them black metal fellas were on it. Also the reason for burning the churches was the Judeo Christian take over of the Norse Countries. They purposely built churches on the pagan, holy sites. Varg decided to burn the churches down, as revenge for his ancestors (Viking blood, man) no matter what the media said with the whole "satanic panic" thing, it was all lies, these were the sole reasons he did it. It was revenge for his ancestors, and the horrific treatment of the Norse people by the Judeo Christians (and then the aforementioned building of churches on their Holy Sites) EDIT: And before anyone says that Vikings were also brutal, yes they were ruthless in battle, but they didn't come into countries and violently convert everyone away from their way of life. They simply had to do it because they were farmers and have you tried farming in Norway? Lol, not the best soil and temperatures for crops. They expanded out, yes to rob stuff to bring home and sell (and collect slaves) but they started to expand more to look for more fertile lands (which is why they landed in the UK) they didn't try and convert everyone, they just took their own piece of the pie (the main settlement being "Yorvik" which is York in the North East of the UK, today) and then mostly kept to themselves... Why I added this, it's a totally different situation. The brutal Christian take over of Pagan countries was horrific, it's just not taught in school, so it's not common knowledge. They didn't convert most of the world to this new religion peacefully, put it that way :'D
@@kidnerd it's a really interesting case. I can send a link to a documentary on the subject (it's up on here, or at least it was, haven't seen it in years) but essentially you have this band called mayhem, and the guy who founded it (who went by "euronymous") had this record shop. Varg started to go there, and gave a Burzum demo to Euronymous, so he put him on his label. Euron liked having Varg around, as he was mental, and burned churches and stuff, which fit with the image he was curating for Black Metal. They fell out though, and Euronymous started chatting sh1t to people... So Varg got pre-emptive, pulled up at his flat and stabbed him over 40 times, he broke the blade off in him, if I remember correctly (in his back, I think, could have been head though) he stabbed him in the head and back, basically all-over his body. The documentary is really worth watching. it's in Norwegian though, so you have to read the subs. There is a film made about it called "lords of chaos" but it's not great. I mean objectively it's not the worst film ever made, but it's way off the mark in so many areas, and purposely tries to make Varg look as bad as possible. Still, probably worth watching if you want an idea of what was going on, just go in knowing that it's like the typical biopic-BS. If you want the true history, you need to watch the documentary, or find the Thulean Perspective videos, to get Vargs side of things (Thulean Perspective was a YT channel that Varg used to have, but it got shut down during the great purge)
@@kidnerd also the singer from mayhem that went by "Dead" blew his own head off with a shotgun, and Euronymous took pics of it, and stole skull fragments. He made necklaces for his "inner circle" with pieces of the skull (although this is debated that he used animal bones) But one of the pics of the dead singer was used on a bootleg mayhem cover. If you google it, you can find this as well. there were other murders that happened around the time as well. It was crazy.
