Well, I'm really Spanish from Alicante, but I think the reasons in the USA is compulsory at all vehicles have parking lights on the sides of the back of the vehicle little red lights, and in the sides of the front part of the vehicle yellow lights. The reason is because the parking lights including the little red and yellow on the two sides of the car or other vehicle are to parking in roads with the speed limit 30 mph (48 km/h in my country Spain) or higher in the traffic laws in the USA, and this compulsory have these park lights at all vehicles is for security at night when there are low visibility when the vehicle as a car or other vehicle suddenly stops in the road as for example when the engine of the car breaks down these park lights are to make more visible, and the reasons are for security to avoid accidents, and when in the USA there are too cars and other vehicles and the American people usually use their own car or other vehicle to move the break downs are very common. That's for in the USA are plenty cars and other vehicles, because the American people usually use the own car or other vehicle to move in all places including within the cities where live the people, and the public transport seldom use the people who live in their cities. In my country Spain the cars and other vehicles no have the little park lights red and yellow on the sides of the front and back of the car or other vehicle, because in my country the people use less their own car than in the USA, and in Spain the people prefer to use the transport public more than in the USA, and that's why the breakdown on the vehicles don't represent neither trouble nor danger for the transit. And instead the parking lights at the vehicles including cars have a emergency reflecting triangle to put in the road to warning the other drivers, that's when happen a breakdown in a car or other vehicles.
Aha, so that is what that weird option with icon of two eyes with eyeliner is! Parking lights! I never knew what it is for, if I stop by the side of the road I always turn on the hazard lights...
Sounds stupid but my new bullbar came with all these parking lights and fog lighs and whatever crazy stuff, that my car orginaly never had, so guess i gotta run some wires to get this stuff working. Thanks heaps
so i like driving with my parking lights on obviously in the morning or in the afternoon when it gets sunset or something and I also like how my truck looks with them on 🤣
bro the name its self is the answer. dont be confused with hazard and parking lights. Hazard lights main purpose is for Emergency and not for parking. since most people do not know this, they always use hazard lights for parking.
I'm just learning how to drive and in the Manual says "Do not drive at any time with only your parking lights on. Parking lights are for parking only."
it's kind of confusing. This video didn't cover standing lights. Parking lights are for parking only and they do not include license plate lighting as every little bit of energy saved can make the difference on whether your car starts next day. standing lights or city lights, use both the rear lights, front standing(city) lights and the license plate lights. You can drive with either daytime running lights, standing lights or dipped beam lights during the day when vision is not obstructed, but when vision is obstructed (dark, snow, rain etc.) you can only drive with dipped beam lights. And in some occasions high beams and/or fog lights. Note that in some cases you may use front and\or rear fog lights without using dipped beams.
This is the most detailed review ever, Thank you for creating this wonderful video
pity sound is awful
it would of been better to do this at night instead of day time
This was very useful. Thanks
