Hey Chase, love your videos. I wanted to let you know the mystery ranch tri-zip bags are quick entry . you just grab the corner in the middle of the top flap and rip it open. Both zippers open up together quick and easy. that what its for, quick access in a hurry.

Hey Chase, love your videos so so much! Please keep doing what you do. One thing I really miss in your otherwise super exhaustive feedback, is any lack of mention of weight. Its an important consideration for international travel and even half a pound here and there makes a ton of difference. For packing cubes too, weight adds up. Peak design packing cube design wise is the best but is heavier in weight compared to some of the others. But I had to go look that up in all the various websites. Would have been so helpful if the weight aspect was covered in your packing cubes video. Thank you!

Merry Christmas! Love the Mystery Ranch -- I had the prior version, which was great; the newer one that you show is better (by 2 litres and a couple outside pockets). The Topo is interesting -- you should show vibrator-pockets more often.
On the Mystery Ranch, not sure if it still works with the water sealed zippers, but the charm of the older 3 zip designs is that you can open the bag by just grabbing the top at the Y and pulling the lid up, the angle of the zippers is such that they unzip themselves. Sort of like the Standard Pacific without the fiddly buckle.

I love the innovation and thought that manufacturers are putting into bags (especially on the materials) these days but I can’t help wondering if many are trying to be unique at the expense of functionality/simplicity. The current bag fad reminds me of all the unnecessary design choices made in the 80s on hi-fi units. I wonder what a designer like Dieter Rams would make of all of this. My favourite everyday carries - and by that I mean the ones I choose to use the majority of the time are ones which are pared down, “clean” designed, and give me the discretion to decide how I use them. For example the Goruck GR1 or Echo, or even the Tom Bihn Synapse. They just work, to borrow the phrase

You should check out the “Sutter Tech Sling” from Waterfield designs! I just picked the standard size up for my iPad pro 11” EDC and its literally tailor made for the iPad. Its a super nice sling really cant recommend it enough and i cant find any reviews on here! Great video 💯🤟

I added a pair of heroclips to my peak design backpack for use as belt hooks. I can hang the entire bag from my belt as a way of taking up less room on the subway. Have you seen any other bag that has this natively? Or another one that'd be amenable to this kind of modification?

Top flap in MR Urban Assault will not stay open only if it's empty, at last that's the case with my older version (21L). Really comfortable harness, actually second best I've had in my entire life. Merry Christmas!!

non of them beat the functionality of my Hazard 4 MOD messenger bag that fits an Alienware 17" M17 laptop with an aqua-guard YKK zipper, and a ton, a TON! of compartmentalization, plus the ability to ad extra pouches thanks the molly webbing all around, you cant't move away from it after you try it.
I need a bag that can carry 2 laptops (17 and a 15). Which generally just means a really rugged ipad pocket. I'm currently thinking of the Everki EKP121-1 Atlas. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

My bags need to survive bar floors, gig venues, and be both stylish and comfortable when I walk up to 2 miles per day through subway tunnels and other public transport. I can say with certainty (ie after 40+ hours of research) that you are the ONLY one doing actually useful reviews of the entire field of options (not just outdoor oriented stuff). Basically, everything else out there is is cr*p. Please keep it up!

Unfortunately that Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 24 isn't made in the USA. Nice bag nonetheless.
