    The screaming while riding in the rain voice over while Makari shows off what she's wearing is hilarious and such a vibe 🤣🤣🤣
    Jackson you are such a champ for soldiering through and just being overall enthusiastic and positive the whole time. And singing 😊
    Only true bikers ride in the cold, wind and rain in winter.

    the thing that I enjoyed the most, is that not just it inspires me to have a better lifestyle, also i admire how real and how original the content is. its not like she is showing off that she is the only lady biker or the fastest, she just sharing the whole journey, with the all the struggles and difficulties. i truly enjoyed that because the content is original and legit. never dissapointed with ur content. support all the way from MY 🇲🇾

    Awesome to see the transformation and evolution of someone who found cycling for herself. Stay on it, it is one of the best things in the world. Also try fishing for the psychological health, being in the nature and just enjoying yourself is the equivalent to being in the bike and pushing yourself for another mile

    The trick I use for warm feet, even if they get wet. Wool.
    My checklist for if Im going biking in the wet and the cold
    1 - Wool socks
    2 - Clingfilm or aluminium foil wrapped around your feet before you put shoes on
    3 - Something like a Flandrien Waterproof shoe cover. basically a waterproof sock you put on your shoes
    Also since alot of cycling shoes have airholes on the bottom it can be beneficial to close those with something like a piece of tape
    PS. Get this man a beer! (And a bike, you know he wants to)

    • @andrewcharlton4053
      @andrewcharlton4053 6 дней назад +5

      You can buy dedicated overshoes/raincovers for cycling shoes rather than using foil or film, use some when I commute in the UK (where it is always wet) and they work a treat

    My first serious encounter with cycling while wet was the ride home after nightshift (30km commute) where the weather report said rain by 10 but it was already pouring down when I left the building at 5. Had no proper rain gear at the time and just kind of had to get through it, took the road down to the first village in the drops and just shoveled the water straight into my face so I was drenched before I even made it 2k from work. Thankfully it was summer-ish and I had a layer more than I needed so I was moist as hell but not miserable
    What I learned is once you get over the weird feeling it starts being fun again, I was riding the last piece of dirt track to my town like a mad man (probably could've been a PR but my route is missing the first 10% of the segment) and looked like I had shit myself when I got home because my bike doesn't have fenders, was a great time, just had to mop the floor from the door to the washing machine before bed

    I used to WHINE when I'd see a hill coming up, and then after a really bad bike accident that took a few years to recover from I got back in the saddle and hills were nothing, hills were a welcome challenge. All it took was breaking my back and having to suffer through recovery to make me as psychologically strong as I needed to be to climb a hill without whining about it lol. Btw I'm impressed with the cycling infrastructure where you are!

    Tell Jackson that his Caddyshack quote was not lost on your viewers! Pro tip: "spin" in lower/easier gears; especially when climbing. It's easier, and more efficient, and your bum will hurt less when you're done. You want to go aerobic vs anaerobic. Waterproof socks are great. Sealskins is a good choice.

I live in the Blue Mountains of NSW in Australia and we often have rain similar to that (I'm not as brave as you and I don't ride in it if I can avoid it. It's also nowhere near as cold here as it is in Canada.) But wow, those bike trails... I'm in love!! We have a lot of hills where I live (in the mountains, go figure...), but I ride an e-bike, so I have it much easier than you do on an acoustic bike. Good on you!!
