This is one of those films that makes me want to shoot the channel trailer I've been meaning to shoot for months! This was you at your best I felt! Excellent stuff!
Thank you kindly, I did enjoy making this more than many of the "vlogs" I've done because I'm not in it, talking to camera. I'd rather be behind the camera 😀 Shoot your channel trailer Simon!
I really enjoyed this video mind I can't think of one I haven't yet. Yes it truly is a beautiful area and your photographs we'll just great. All the very best.
Beautifully shot and edited Simon. I really enjoyed it. I didn't get to Dartmoor much when I was in the UK but you have inspired me to return. Cheers, Jeff
A great video on one of my favourite places. I go there walking quite often since I live just inside the Cornish border - hope I might bump into you up there one day Simon. There's just one thing about your lovely video.......loads of people will be coming to Dartmoor now after seeing the way you've portrayed it! It is a fantastic place though, and there's plenty of room for a few more photographers. One of my favourite areas for photography is the high area that surrounds Burrator Reservoir, especially in the Autumn. There are lots of other great locations though, well away from the tourist honeypots! Keep up the good work!
Thanks Geoff. The places I showcase are easy to reach, this video is aimed at those coming into the area for the first time with their camera, But it's interesting that whenever I go to these spots iI rarely come across anyone else. I'm sure there won't be cars lining up to park because of this video, lol.. The spots further from the tourist honeypots, I'll keep a secret for now 😀
Nice video Simon. I've never visited this part of the UK but you've certainly planted the seed in my head that I need to correct that. Really like the concept for this, will prove very useful for many I feel 👍
Stunning video, you always grab me with story with details and with the quality of your photography and control of video! Exceptional video and would watch an hour of you telling these stories of a place! Thank you
Hmmmm🤔 Never really felt a draw to Dartmoor before, however.........just as I think I’m getting the places of interest in the UK under control 🙄 Thanks for nothing 😆. Very slick video work mate👏👏👏
Watched this yesterday when the notification came out (twas the middle of the night for me when I viewed) but came back today to watch again and comment.... fabulous production and footage as always and your cinematic spectaculars are just a joy to view - with images that match. I have never done Dartmoor only Haytor but one day I will get around to it. I am off to Exeter this weekend but will be drinking n dancing with no time for photography - I need to make time to visit with the camera. Have you managed to ship Rmabo back to the UK yet? :)
Thanks Al! Actually, I've been too busy to go out and create new vids, so this was a compilation for the past few years, as i was itching to make a video this past week. Rambo was sent back, he was causing way too much trouble over here. he's best off up in the Snowdonian wilderness 😬😂
@@SimonBurnCreative We do Exeter a fair bit, we stayed in the Royal Clarence just before it got burnt down :( A mate of mine used to have a club down on the quayside so we have spend a fair bit of time down that way over the years but never really taken much down there although I did take a decent image of Stepcote Hill a few years ago :)
Great video - inspired now for my next visit to the moor! Out of interest what do you use to film your B roll and pieces to camera? Great quality - much better than you usually see on vlogs!!
Hi Tom, Not sure why your comment isn't appearing, only just seen it now. I have been using a GoPro 7 and Nikon Z6 for B-roll. Appreciate the kind words.
Great video. Stunning shots. Just wondering who I need to speak to for permission to do some drone videography work on the Moor. I'm Exeter based. Thanks.
Thanks. My footage was mostly shot a few years back now, before drones became an issue. It's rather annoying that irresponsible people who fly them have ruined it for those of us who use them with consideration, when no one is around etc.
@@SimonBurnCreative the problem with flying just a minute is if someone see s you doing they think its ok when they get one .Dartmoor national park is not a play ground for people to do or break the rules when they want to.im talking in general terms.i like your videos and your photography.
Great video 🙂🙃💚💛💜💙🧡❤
Thank you! 😊
Another lovely video Simon 👍
Cheers Darren, hope you're keeping well.
Fantastic images and video showcasing Dartmoor, Think I will have to push out that bit further from my usual visits to Dorset.
Thanks for dropping by Stefan. Dartmoor does offer a lot for photographers, one of my fave places to visit 🙂
I true master of the video world well do great mood and you show some stunning photos.
Thank you kindly Sir 😊
Loved the gravelly voice-over! 😊👍
A new career path maybe? I do a good Sylvester Stallone V/O, but decided it wasn't appropriate for this one.
Lovely and well edited.... I really appreciate this as I live locally to Dartmoor.
Thank you!
Awesome watch Simon with fantastic images.
Appreciate the kind words John 😀
Great stuff Simon, love these places
Thanks Lee. There is so much to explore on Dartmoor, I've yet to find new favourite places, i'm sure.
Simon Burn ah there’s loads. Give me a shout if you want to do a shoot sometime
@@LeePengellyPhotography Do you live nearby? Will do 👍
Simon Burn I live in Ermington near Ivybridge, where are you based ?
@@LeePengellyPhotography Ah, good to know. I'm in Canada these days, but have a home in Kent, and spend as much time as I can in Devon.

Great information Simon, thanks for sharing 👍📸

Cheers Lee, enjoy your trip, October is a nice time to visit 👍
Tavi is my home town! Love Dartmoor. Well and truly blessed. Your photos and film are beautiful. Thank you
Best town in England, IMHO! It's where my family are from, I wish I had more time to spend there myself, you are indeed blessed to live there 🙂
Very useful & well presented, thank you
Thanks for the feedback, appreciated 😀
Atmospheric. A well stitched together narrative that was informative and evocative. I’ll need to visit all 5 now.
Thanks Mikey, appreciate the comment. I think I prefer to make this kind of film, rather than a talking-to-camera vlog.

I'm sure that will be arranged 👍😊
Great sort film, you had me drawn into the story you were telling. Hope to see more.
Thanks, that's really good to know, appreciate the feedback 😊
Beautiful short film Simon, it's a stunning place isn't it..
One of my favourite places to visit Seb 😀
I wish I saw this when I was in England back in 2011. Beautiful video Simon!

Aww, thanks old chap! I think you liked this one because my ugly mug isn't in it waffling away, lol.
Simon Burn nailed it! Not! I like it when you mix things up. But your ageing mug was missed 😂😂😂
Beautiful video Simon, the west side is also my favourite part of Dartmoor👍 Cheers, Cliff
Thanks Cliff, appreciate you stopping by. It was a fun video to make, probably because I wasn't in it much or talking to camera 😀
Thankyou simon for sharing those locations..superb production ..

Absolutely brilliant mate! Very well edited
Cheers Tom 👍😊
Nice one Simon, very inviting and your narration is spot on!
Appreciate you stopping by and commenting Bernard 😊
Wow. Simon, this was beautiful. Lovely video dude, really great. And totally staple tor for me or Dewerstone.
Cheers, appreciate the comment 😊 Can't recall having been to Dewerstone, but I'm terrible with remembering names John.
Simon Burn me too Dave. Me too. Loved the video, probably my fave Chris.

Are you based near there Simon?

Thank you! Drone flying is now banned I believe, best to speak to the Park authority for info.
Lovely vlog. Really wish I lived within driving distance. I thought that drones weren't allowed on Dartmoor? Or is that just Exmoor?
Thanks. My footage was mostly shot a few years back now, before drones became an issue. It's rather annoying that irresponsible people who fly them have ruined it for those of us who use them with consideration, when no one is around etc.
Hey question are these places free wild camping places?
Some of them are, I would suggest checking with National park for more details.
Do you have a favourite location on Dartmoor for photography?
@Podgy Snapper Haven't been there, I'll need a guide tour 😀
lovely video ,but flying of drones are not allowed in essence to keep Dartmoor a tranquil place and drones scare the local wildlife
I've only flown a drone for a minute at a time when there in no one around, including wildlife. Agree about keeping things tranquil for others 👍
