I like the fact that Clarence is actually like a realistic cartoon It doesnt show magic or other stuff that in fact Clarence imagines it as magic while in reality its just an unclean object.
The only magical things in the show are the insane facial expressions that are seen in it. For example, go to S1 E47, and watch Jeff say “Another Birthday?”
About the "Over the Garden Wall" topic In the last scene of OTGW, when they zoom out of the city, it's the same city as in the first episode of Clarence
It's the same city, but with some minor changes (most notoriously, a big building on it). It's like the shows have the same setting yet different years (OTGW is set in the early 90s', and Clarence in the mid 00s')
To Be Honest I Actually Liked This Show EDIT: Hi There! I Was Surprised To See A lot Of Positive Comments Thank You! The Reason Why I Like Clarence Is Because It Kind Of Relates To The Real World. EDIT 2: I hope you are all having a wonderful day! Thank you!
Fun fact: The creators of Clarence came to my school around 2015 or 2016 for career day and they talked about making the show. They heavily hinted to the show they're making now Craig of the Creek. If I remember correctly they said they were a bit worried about the show in the future but if anything happens then expect Craig of the Creek. No one really knew what they were talking about at the time but now they do! Lol
Surprised there wasn't a mention about making fun of TV Christian pastors during the episode where Clarence got mud on his eyes and thought that he went blind during a gym assembly before Jeff showed up with a white suit and even down to the "miracle tonic" that was just a spray bottle with water while speaking in a holier-than-thou accent with church music playing in the background. It had my Grandma cracking up when she saw it
For the Autism Spectrum theory it is kinda possible. As someone on it I can say no two people are alike. Some struggle making friends while others are much better at it. It's more of we don't understand social ques as much.
Yeah, I'm on the spectrum myself and while I have little issues with the social aspect I struggle a lot when it comes to the sensory side of things and executive dysfunction while my brother who's also on the spectrum has nearly the opposite experience lol
@@Paul_Recall that's fair, but also kinda why I lean more towards relating to him as ADHD. Alot of us are brilliant but get shit grades because it takes too much focus

Having Autism doesn’t mean having low intelligence. Having Autism can actually help people express creativity and openmindness. Some aspects of autism can involve repetitive behaviour, social awareness, perseverative thinking, Sensory Processing or Verbal and nonverbal communication but none of these should hinder intelligence. -Person in Autism Spectrum.
I always thought Clarence had a learning disability rather than autism because Clarence shows almost zero signs of autism. He's incredibly social, shows no signs of sensory discomfort and seems to have no special interests or repetitive behaviors.

@@BookofValis Hey Valis, huge fan of your iceberg videos, did you know that a character from home videos, appeared in Clarence before I can’t remember what episode it was but I am 100% sure that it happened
This show was literally a huge part of my childhood, such a shame it was canceled. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen 😔 Great video by the way! (P.S. not sure if you’ve already done this but, how about an “Uncle Grandpa” iceberg?)

Clarence always had a special place in my heart. It felt extremely real, nothing magical or supernatural. Just a bunch of kids who act like actual kids. And it was fun to watch.
In over the garden wall, there's a shot in the last episode of the town the boys come from and it looks very similar to the town in Clarence. I think that's what is being referred to when people say Clarence and OTGW are in the same universe.

I'm surprised there was no entry for episode 37 when Clarence's grandma comes over to visit and mention's Clarence's real dad Damien. Then in the following episode, episode 38, at the very end, the narrator reading from a book, turns and speaks to a character off screen saying "Damien, we can't show this to kids." implying that Clarence's real father could have been the one to write the entire show.
There were also theories about Jeff having OCD, and it kind of makes sense. Jeff likes everything organized and cleaned, and literally loses his mind if things aren't the way he wants it.
I'm surprised there was no mention of the Jeff + Dead body thing, like the episode where Jeff recounts finding a dead body in the bushes to clarence's mom and her dad during a rainy day where Clarence went missing.
This show is so fucking weird. I couldn’t get into it. Clarence always creeped me out. He reminds of the the kids your parents would force you to play with even tho they didn’t respect your boundaries, would do whatever they wanted like touch(break) your toys/projects and NEVER faced any consequences. And god forbid you told your mom I don’t feel comfortable around this person, they guilted you to interact. My mom does this to my baby sister, one of our mom’s friends has a son who doesn’t have any friends cuz he’s the “weird” kid. I watch them a couple of times and this kid is sometime else. He follow my sister like a puppy a dog, even when she just wanted to use the restroom. He broke a few of her toys, took her favorite snacks. And my poor sister would cry anytime my mom would guilt her to play with him. “He doesn’t have any friends, you should play with him” and if I try to make my mom understand why she’s uncomfortable she gets mad at me too. My mom had taken this kid with us on a outing and because he couldn’t get his way, he started to act up and say some things that made me, a adult in my late 20’s really uncomfortable. My sister will hide in my room because she knows I won’t allow him in my room, he come into my room and start touching everything, my jewelry, my makeup, my figurines, my gaming system. And both his mom and my mom just tell me: “oh he’s just a kid, let him be.” The only way I get him to leave is when I tell my mom she’s gonna pay for everything he breaks or gets sticky (kid never washes his hands) or she has to make her friend to pay. My name is also on the house and I pay rent and bills, I have a say on who’s allowed in my room or not. Sorry for the rant, but yah Clarence gives me the heebee jeebees

What about the song “weird stuff is going on” that clearly parodies “strange thinks keep happening” from Toy Story. It plays in Lil Buddy during Clarence’s depression phase.
As an autistic person, I find the whole autism thing with Clarence pretty hurtful. Maybe he is autistic, I wouldn't know, but the theory boiling it down to 'being stupid' basically, is awful.
i liked Clarence when i first saw the show when i was about 10yo...but than after time i started hating it than i started getting scared of it ,idk why but the episode was creepy and scary and made me uncomfortable...the abyss side is the reason i hated Clarence for real, lol even my family hated it so much
I'm surprised that the iceberg didn't mention anything about the later stuff like home movies sharing the same universe, Larry's connections to the CIA, usage of firearms in Clarence, Josh's injuries, mystery of Gilman, Mrs. Shoop's trauma and that Chaz is Clarence's actual dad. I theorize that Mary cheated on Damien woth Chaz, got pregnant and tried to hide it for the first few years of Clarence's life. Damien would leave and Chaz would come in but Clarence associates Damien or someone else as his real dad.
Kinda sad that they forgot to mention that one episode where Brendon Small from Home Movies was in a episode, I forgot which one but he worked at a DVD shop. Somebody even made a small animation of the clip in the Home Movies style which I thought was cool lol
Clarence is the most realistic representation of childhood, no magical dinosaurs and stuff, just kids with funny personalities resulting into funny nostalgic actions
