- Dishwasher soap not dissolving? Here is a free and easy fix to get the soap to dissolve al the way and get dishes clean.
This is a GE Profile dishwasher, but this fix will apply to all brands.
I like to use a natural detergent too, like Ecover, in powder or tablet form at amzn.to/2ZxcdVV - Хобби
I'm glad you are not shouting like that other guy 🤣
😂😂 I just left that video, I couldn’t take it!
Literally the same
😂
Hilarious! 😂
Besides running the hot water before starting the cycle, put the pod in the flatware caddy. It will dissolve partially in the pre-wash cycle and fully dissolve in the main wash. Your dishes will come out clean. Furthermore, you won't have that heavy perfume scent lingering on your dishes. Just try this once. But yes, always run the hot water faucet til ripping hot then immediately start the machine. Delay Cycle is not your best friend.
That’s a great idea!
Don't throw the pod on the floor of the dishwasher. Put it in the flatware caddy. Try it once. I think you'll be pleased.@@ljschuby99
I started doing the same thing. We have hard water (minerals) and that may impact the whole process. I'm not sure. But the pod in the flatware trick seems to help.
These dishwashers are a major disappointment. I had a cheaper one at my last house, I paid half what I paid for this one and it worked perfect never had an issue. I think its the lack of water that is the problem. Not very efficient if you have to wash everything twice.
Agreed, had an old GE I believe that was replaced for efficiency reasons and I would bet less than 60 cycles and this thing proved its weight... for scrap
😂😂 wrong info, water heating with heating element. There is only cold water going to inlet valve
Dishwasher doesnt get hot water. It has its own heating element.
lol. It definitely gets hot water. Heating element too
@@TheLaw-mh4pb why would you need both?
@@theacguy9546 The dishwasher is definitely fed by hot water. It has both because your hot water heater already has heated water so why waste more energy trying to heat water again for a normal wash. The heating element is for the sanitizing function to heat the water to extreme temperatures and for the heated dry. You're on RUclips so you definitely have Google too, look it up.
@@christopherhowlett1096 using heated water for the dishwasher is useless. I don't need to look it up. I've been installing them for years. Using hot water for the rinse cycle is useless and wastes energy. The detergent does the sanitizing. The element does the drying. End of story.
@@TheLaw-mh4pb - not in Europe. ONLY cold water.
only if you have connected dishwasher to the hot water supply
Many thanks - worked like a charm!
Great!
I hope this helps. I switched to liquid because my tablets weren't dissolving but I've been finding the liquid dumped on the bottom not dissolved too. Fingers crossed!
Yes - I hope that takes care of it for you!
Mine just started this
I have this exact model. The spring loaded door came out of it's track and I cannot figure out how to put it back on. I know it can be fixed because the repairman fixed my other dishwasher dispenser that had been installed upside down. I will not call out a repairman to fix this. I would like some pointers if you have any.
Nope, already doing that.
I run my water and still see the little white granules in the bottom of the dishwasher.
One would think, especially with units with electronic control boards, is that during the first power-on before filling, is to open the water valve long enough to get it hot off the bat ?? because the drain pump runs for about a minute in first power-on anyway so it's like a purge anyway. I dunno. but I'm not an appliance engineer so what do I know LOL 🤪
Yes you would think they would have it figured out!
Dishwasher not filling with water
Troubleshoot
I have this problem with my dishwasher. I have years of caked on detergent around the cup. I also have bad soap stains on glasses and utensils. I am trying to find a solution. The only issue I have with your suggestion is that a typical modern washer heats up the water, correct? It also has two cycles in which it should rinse away that soap but doesn't. I am assuming in my case is the soap dispenser is hidden behind the utensil tray and the sprayer does not reach that area.
I figured the soap was too cold, it’s freezing under the sink.So obviously the water must go into washer too cold. Thanks!
WOW. Thank you. I have the exact same dishwasher and problem. Will see if this works next time, but makes sense because it does take the sink water a long time to heat up sometimes. Hopefully this also solves the problem of dishes tasting like soap.
Great, hope that solves the problem. I am using the powdered soap now with no issues.
@@ljschuby99 Did you ever deal with dishes tasting like soap? I'm thinking of switching to powder but it's hard to find.
@@fundifferent1 Yes, there was a filmy feeling to the clean dishes. I switched to an unscented powder - the brand I use now is ecover zero - and it works great.
@@ljschuby99 Thanks
This is my exact brand and model of dishwasher. I usually use pods, but, for a smaller load, I use powder. Your suggestion solved my problem! Thanks!
Great - glad that fixed it!
I have that model and I’m getting suds leftover on the bottom every time. Just talk I’m not consuming soap left on the dishes.
That’s not good. I haven’t had that issue even on the basic wash cycle. Maybe you could try some different soap…
Your filter may be clogged. It is underneath the spray arm and has two parts
Thank you Blessings
Funny
OMG...THANK YOU!!!
Hope that helps!
I don't put the pod in the cartridge. I just throw it on the bottom of washer. We always have
Bosch dish washer.
but the first cycle is just pre rinse and their will be none for the main cycle thats just stupid
didn't work for my kitchen aid. ran water for 5 minutes still didn't completely dissolve
5 minutes? you probably ran out of hot water before the dishwasher could fill lol
@@ctaaaaaaa Not one for wasting water. live in California strict water controls. Ended up checking the garbage disposal air gap. new garbage disposal but the air gap needed some cleaning. Problem went away after that. next wash after only running water for 2 minutes and checked mid cycle steam was coming forms washer. Definitely not a hot water problem.
@@christhompson6010 lmao, California is such a joke
