White skin may also reflect a stage of Hollowing As far as I understand it, Hollowing involves the slow decay of the body as there is no soul to sustain it. It acts much like a corpse, though still moves and acts like a living being due to the curse One stage of death, a particularly early stage, results in extreme paleness attributed to a lack of enriching blood. The skin is essentially dead in this stage while the remaining inactive muscles and such decay as well, though the resulting frailty isn't something we see in the games

Those were silver knights, you could never handle that army of black knigts (silver knights, burned with chaos flames of izalith, from the war with the chaos demons), but maybe with the giant father set, who knows xD.
Seriously? Just download a mod called DSFix and use a controller. With those, the Dark Souls experience is even better than on the consoles, because of the higher resolutions you can use. Even Blighttown is smooth as butter.
