Tammi story make one question christianity. I'm sorry. But it seems she was not given much of a chance. If she was raped at 11 she had to be traumatized. Look at her, she had that innocent, wholesome, little girl next door look. I can see why marvin Gaye, thought of her as a sister. I know some believe that marvin might of had a deeper relationship with tammi, I don't. I think, he was trying to protect her. To be honest, this is the first time I heard of tammi being raped at age 11, yet I know these things happened, they just was not talked about. I believe she might of been born with that brain tumor. The reason she started having headaches was that she was maturing. The trauma she experienced, being raped at age 11, I can only imagine how she felt, she was still a child and yet not a teenager. I'm assuming. She had no therapy, to deal with this, I'm not saying her mother or family didn't comfort her, or talk to her but. How much did she understand. I bet you she was looked at and treated differently. Don't get me started about uncle jb.no doubt tammi had, looks and a voice. I'm beginning to understand why she put up with the abuse. Nobody can tell her story but Tammi. Sadly she never got that chance. I just assume some only saw her beauty and her voice. If you look closely tammi never lost that innocent young girl look. Yes the wrong men targeted her. And the abuse continued. By the time she was partnered with marvin, she'd been through some things. Like every young female, she still wanted love and a relationship. I believe that's why marvin saw her as a sister, he took on that role, hoping to protect her. They were good together. But sadly tammi brain tumor was growing and she had no clue.she fought through those headaches, between her brain tumor and the abuse, she never had a chance to have the career she wanted. Yes, she had the gift, the looks, the voice. Sadly we only got to know a little of what Tammi might of been. I can see why marvin Gaye life took a turn when Tammi died. The one thing he could not do was save her from the one thing that caused her death. That brain tumor. Medically speaking. Some Dr will say the Abuse she suffered had no outcome on the brain tumor. But I don't think it helped. I've heard about her all my life. Together Tammi and Marvin, gave us some great songs..sad that people don't know the whole truth. That we hear about James and David. And what caused her Death. But her Story will never fully be told. Because only Tammi Terelle can tell her story. Sadly she didn't get that chance. For me she should not be Forgotten, what she went though. What she experienced I will never know. Yes she made a name for herself. In my eyes I consider her a Heroine. She gave her all for a Career that Lasted only a little while, but one that will be Remembered for a Lifetime. I'm glad she lived long enough to give us songs that we still listen to and enjoy today. So today I understand Tammi a little more. Thank you for telling me Tammi was Raped at age 11.becsuse I didn't know. I never heard nobody say this. I majored in psychology, child development. Ect.. that's why I bought up the brain tumor
We have found out some babies are born with brain tumors, some benign, some become active after experiencing trauma. At the same time. I also understand Marvin Gaye a little more. Maybe you know why her Story hit me.the way it do..I've counseled many abused, traumatized young and older adults.i chose that path to help others. I'm going to say it..a lot of mothers, grandmothers who grew up before the 30s and even up till today. Failed thier daughters. Grand daughters. For what was not talked about. For what a lot of young girls went through. Yes the church was wrong too. That aside. I'M GOING TO GIVE TAMMI HER CROWNE. For living her life
And giving her all she had to the End of her Life.. Love, respect and positivity always. Neita james. ✌🕯❤🙏🤗🖖🙂👋.
