That's true, I think the iPhone X will age better. However, a lot of laptops and windows computers from 2007 are definitely dated by today's standards ... even the best computers of the time now merely match the power and function of entry-level laptops. I think people will look back at the original iPhone X in 15 years and show how old and ungainly it is ... because, in 15 years, I predict all smartphones will be as thin as cardboard !
But it’s definitely gonna be worth a lot more! Just like the original iPhone is today!

You can't really fairly consider this "going back to 2007". Back then, Snapchat and Instagram, and Siri didn't exist, so you weren't worried about those things. The browser wasn't that slow, and there WERE apps, but they were optimized for IOS 2.0-3.0. Everything on the app market is for IOS 10 or higher

I'm guess there was some sort of humour intended for this video and yes there is a big difference between the original iPhone and the iPhone7 but it just came across as pretentious and a little cringe. The narrative of how better life is with an iPhone7 just highlights our unhealthy obsession with these things.
Every scene of this narrative was cringe.
I bought the iphone when it came out and there was no other touch screen phone with a color screen. It was somewhat revolutionary. You could go on the web while out and about anywhere with it and that was a big deal. I remember people wanting to see it with extreme curiosity. That was short-lived, but exciting at the time. You didn't need a separate mp3 player and a phone anymore. It combined both.
I had a blackberry back then before the iPhone came out. It didn't have a touch screen but I was able to do everything else the iPhone could do. I never got the hype back then about it.

The Note 3 is a flagship phone from a few years ago. The iPhone 2G is a 2G phone, that cant shoot video and is not supported by modernday apps. Cant understand your comparison.
The note 3 is a relatively modern phone, with decent specs and capable of recording in 4k. it is released at the same time as iPhone 5s.
The original iPhone was slightly behind in terms of feature and specs and missing a lot of features which were standard at the time, like 3g, autofocus, flash, video recording, copy and paste. But it was way ahead in term of other things, like webbrowsing, capacitive touch, touch friendly UI. ease of use..

Yeah, it's 5 years newer than the iPhone 2G lol. That said...the iPhone 2G was a very useless phone. Even dumbphones were more practical. Nokia N95 and Blackberry's were 'true' smartphones back in the day. THe Nokia N95 actually has a camera so great that it could compete with the one on the iPhone 7 and yes, the N95 is a 2007 SMARTphone.
