My GAN 11M Pro set up:
3 on light blue, 4 clicks, lubed with Gravitas on the tracks of two edges, 2 drops of Mystic, and 1 drop of DNM-37

Also does the soft layering wear off easily and does it have better grip than normal frosted cubes ?
I saw on the Gan website that “skid proof” is least on the soft .....

It is good to not buy that expensive cube that early on because when you will be that good that the better cube matters to you, there will be new (and better) cubes released. Instead, you could get an RS3M 2020 (which is a really good cube).
@@Mr_Frosty and you are right,we should not buy expensive cubes before learning full advance method of that cube,I love dayan tengyun m 2x2 but I am faster with Ortega, but now I started learning eg 1 ,eg 2 ,cll .my current main is yj yupo m ,but as I will complete learning full 2x2 method I will buy that cube.

It doesn't, and the uv coated is fine
I’m happy for you. My dad says he doesn’t mind getting me even a Gan XS but he thinks that if I get it I’ll lose it or break it and most of my Christmas is down the drain. 🙁

Hey great video man. Just wanna ask your opinion on the 11 m pro, can it be said as a more stable gan 356 m? Because currently i love everything about my 356m just that its quite unstable sometimes. ( Oh and one more thing, could u give some tips on how to improve to sub 8 and beyond?) , thanks!

Hey! Can you tell me your settings? I ordered the UV Coated edition on the 7th of November but the factory defects make it unavailable in my country, so I switched to soft. Do your settings vary from version to version? Thanks.

@@thecubingjedi808 ikr 90% of parents don’t understand anything about cubing. Like I got a airing ms 3x3 and I was setting it up and I took it apart and my mom is like “Why are you taking it apart!?” Making it seem like I was smashing it with a car tire or something.

The topic of grip on the soft coated version is quite controversial, some people say it has the best grip, some say it has the worst. It reminds me about the discussion about the frosted plastic when it was introduced with the 356 XS, with some people saying it was wearing off and getting glossy after a couple hundred solves, while others saying it stayed frosted even after thousands of solves. There's probably quite a bit of uncontrolle variables at play, like hand sweat or oils and it's pH and stuff like that.
so far my soft coating is fine
Sometimes I feel like people tend to exaggerate issues on the internet (shocking, right?). I'm thinking about getting the soft version, my only worries were scratch resistance and plastic degradation over time, but those worries are mostly gone now.
After looking Tingman's scratch test, I don't think it's overly prone to scratching. The issue that remains to be seen is how will sweat/salt attack the plastic over time, but I doubt it will have enough effect in a short enough timeframe for it to matter.
I did have some issues with the soft plastic on my trackball after 2 years of use and it only got worse when I tried to clean it with isopropyl alcohol, however, it's a *very* soft plastic that I haven't seen anywhere else. The soft plastic in my laptop's wrist rest on the other hand still looks great after almost 4 years of use.
I really like my frosted version, I don’t think I should’ve waited for the soft version to come out

Could it be that the UV Coated will get more grip after a lot of breaking in? Because they advertise it as skid proof and that's why I pre ordered that version. I don't really care about how glossy it is but the skid proof aspect was actually kinda important to me

Because the soft overtime will have damege on the plastic
i like the soft better but they don't make it anymore
Mine got many plastic damages on the surface and i realized that soft is just a coating but its duble frosted so i regret getting the soft but not the uv
