For a long time I wondered why would lot offer his daughters to the men of the city! but after watching this I totally get it, the entire family was so emerged in all the sin of the city, it all looked normal to them. Thank you!
Also this but maybe he meant it metaphoricaly that he will give them anything if only they leave his guests in peace. Maybe he didnt mean it litteraly.
What could you have done if you were Lot? Could you have delivered the Angels of God to ungodly mob, or to give out your daughters who were due for marriage? That was a difficult decision and it took the spirit of God to do what happened. This is a lesson to us about an immoral society and we thank God for Lot who was there to narrate to us the details. Every action there had Devine influence and we cannot in any way judge otherwise.

This opened my eyes to the story. I'm about to re-read for more revelation. Thank you all for listening to the Spirit and teaching the word.
As a human race, we can totally relate to Lot and his family's plight of letting go of city comfort & convenience. Lot is no different from me or you, however, his questionable choices does give me pause on his mindset in that moment. For instance, sacrificing his two virginal daughters to the the vices of Sodomite men just to save face. Or the lack of urgency to react when the destroying angels gave him ample warning to flee the city. Or him choosing to live in a cave instead of having the unwavering faith to head to the mountains where it would be practical and more "fruitful" & abundant for him & his daughters to thrive. Instead, the trappings of S&G lingered in their hearts & halted their progression to reach their eternal destiny. The same can be true for each of us if we don't repent & act with a willingness to the Lord's invitations to seek Him always.

Sodom and Gomorrah (2 Cities of evil corruption) is the prime example that God will not tolerate evil acts or deeds.
The same will happen again. This world’s evil will be destroyed as well.
God will deal with the ‘just’ as well as the ‘unjust’. We, as Children of God, should pray for those oppressed in a unjust (corrupt) world. Life for them in this evil world has kept them in bondage.

You have your beliefs and I have my beliefs in God. You cannot prove that Sodom and Gomorrah wasn’t destroyed by God either, now can you? Secondly, who can judge that those meteors as you say, were not the fiery flames God used to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. God’s powers should never be imaginary to one imagination.
One day you too will witness God’s return, whether you believe HIM or not. Be prepared. God will not be mocked. Galatians 6:7.
Problems with unbelievers is they are ‘afraid’ to believe.
The world has been evil since people. Sodom and Gomorrah certainly weren't the only two cities that was corrupted. Why tolerate selected evil? There's a lot of mythology in the old testament.
The Lord has surely delivered us from out of The new Egypt & Babylon as Revelation revealed. Oh Jehovah now do come and cast down again once and for all time sake, even forever Sodom and Gomorrah. May we never be like Lot's wife turning back and longing for a vile place to call our home and/or city. Lot indeed was a righteous man, but choosing to live in a worldly city, it affected his walk with the Lord. His spiritual growth did not seem fruitful, as he did not take the first advise of the Lord. It's a lesson we can all relate to, in the decisions we choose in our lives. We can all make this mistake, rather that put the Lord first in our lives from the start
He later had drunken incest with both of them. They both got pregnant by their father. The two sons became the ancestors of Moab and Ammon the enemies of the Israelites.

This was a good teaching but it’s incomplete. If you believe that Sodom and Gomorrah‘s distruction was solely about a certain sexual sin, then you don’t know the Bible. If you believe that Sodom was immoral and evil in God’s sight because of men sleeping with men alone, then you do not know the Bible. Even within this teaching that was presented here there are several clues that show us the truth. Sexual debauchery was very broad. There was bestiality, rape, incest, adultery, fornication among many other sins. How do I know? Because I’ve studied Ezekiel chapter 16 where the Lord rebuke Jerusalem for believing much of what the church believes today, that Sodom was about men sleeping with men. He sent Ezekiel to rebuke Jerusalem and to warn them that they were worse in God’s eyes than the men and women of Sodom and Gomorrah. It was not just men living there, Lot’s daughters learned sexual deviance from having seen other women in that city do such things. If we’re going to cite the Scriptures, then we have to do it completely, accurately and with the ultimate hope that people receive the entire story. Finish this lesson by reading Ezekiel chapter 16 so you too might learn deeper truths that will guide you into a greater relationship with the Lord. You’re not being told the whole story here and that’s why it’s important that you go deeper into the word to receive the greater lessons.

I think a lot of Christians missed the point of stories like this and say Noah’s flood focusing on “God‘s wrath”. Rather than the plea of a righteous person (and our role to try and save as many people as possible despite themselves). Noah pleads for God to save the people if there are any righteous people as does Lot. We are to let the world follow its own devices (knowing it leads to a town distraction) but our role is to save and help people until the end pushing back on that time all the way.
You mean "as does Abraham" and not "as does Lot". It was Abraham who asked God to spare people.

Lot was considered in the bible as a righteous man ..a righteous man but not one that made the right judgement on what to expose his family to ...lot should have moved his family away from the influence of that sinful culture the first time he began to fel vexed about how the people there were living ...just like some of you Christians need to be vexed about what tv shows ,movies ,music your kids are listening to ...some of you will leave your kids with the tv remote control or iPads amd cell phones ..full internet access and oneday wonder why they are acting just like the world ...it's the same thing that happened to lot ..he was not mixing with that culture ...he was not partaking in what they were doing ..but he allowed his kids to be around that culture ...and eventually they got influenced by that culture in that lots wife looked back coz she was soo connected to it and lots daughters did the unthinkable without thinking it was wrong coz maybe that's how they watched the culture around them do it ... inotherwards be careful what you allow your family to be around ...what they are watching and listening to ....it might seem like harmless disney movies and SpongeBob square pants or call of duty video games or lil Nas x old town road ..but trust me ..if you have discernment you will see the spirit of the world all over even the soo called harmless worldly entertainment ...but you say ..my kids will get bored ..well what's fun?..watching the world burn up from Abraham's view point or watch the world you have built around the world's culture eventually burn up and you lose sometimes everything ??...
Strange.. In one part of the Bible God talks about men who go in dark rooms because God can't see them there, and God says to tell them, he does see and hear them. But, for Sodom and Gomorra he had to send his angels to see if it was true.
Its my belief that the angels of the Lord traveled to Sodom and Gomorrah with the intent of destroying the cities. Once they were met with the city men who demanded them, it only confirmed the impending doom and judgement of God upon them.
