Jesus is the winter sun (male) and Christ is the summer sun (female).
The original Hebrew words were "she turned back" which has been erroneously translated as "she looked back," but Lot's wife did not just look back, she decided to go back to the city and therefore was destroyed with it.
The lesson here is to repent and flee sin, and once we have repented not to return to our sins, lest we are forever lost.

I had a friend that turned back from following the Lord and started to embrace lies. I tried to bring her back to the truth but to no avail. There was a witch sent by Satan at my friend's side that kept her from returning to Jesus. So my friend died of a stroke. I heard her voice the day before she was buried. I was asking God to send a dream of my friend bc I hadn't dreamt of her since she had passed. As I lay down to sleep my friend called my name from somewhere deep inside me. Idk why she did but that she did. I did not interact with the voice bc we're not supposed to. I can only hope it was a sign that she was resting in peace. 🙏😔

As with Lot's wife when she looked back, God turned her to salt. She died. Christ Jesus witnesses this in Mathew 5:13 If the salt hath lost his saviour it is worth nothing .
It’s a different story with Lot’s wife. The Lord said that “No man, having put his hand to the plough, *_and looking back,_* is fit for the kingdom of God”(Luke 9:62). It calls for the faithfulness and watchfulness of the believers on that day (see Matthew 25:1-13).

I think she may have looked back because she wanted to actually “see” how the judgment was falling upon the people, that she wanted to see with her own eyes exactly what was happening to that place and those people, BUT they were told not to look back.

Anyone with a heart would want to look back in horror. Realistically this would have been as horrific as Pompeii. People were hit with the lava and turned to pillars of stone like ash there too.
I think God was warning that they couldn’t stop to look they needed to just run to safety and those who were able go into survivor mode managed to look back. She wasn’t strong enough to turn off her emotions and she looked back and went into shock or was overtaken by emotion at the suffering. Unfortunately, she was hit with the lava and she died.
Honestly, Lot was not a good man. He offered to send his daughters out to be raped by the men at his door. I also don’t buy that he didn’t know what he was doing when he had sex with his daughters. If he was that drunk he wouldn’t have been able to perform sexually. If you read the Bible cover to cover you will find many instances where excuses are made for the bad behaviour of men in the Bible.

I've often worried about this issue with Lot's wife. I mean I know by nature we can be a little morbid and so I've often wondered had I been there, would I have wanted to witness the destruction? I fear the temptation just to look and see God's fire would be too powerful. I wouldn't be looking out of love for the sin, but more out of morbid curiosity. Would I be destroyed for this?

The "wife" of Lot is the constellation Virgo. Virgo has a slight turn to her head and cannot avoid looking back. The wife of Lot is also the Virgin Mary.
@@harveywabbit9541 I believe E.W. Bullinger spent a good part of his study on the constellations and how they tell the story outlined to Enoch by the archangels. However, this is not biblical, nor can it be quantified by any of the scripture. It is ok to read and understand another’s opinion of how things were, but once we set mans opinion over the Bible we loose track of who is the Word we are to receive above all else. Who is The Word, Jesus Christ. I find your version of the stars is nothing like the study of it done by a true scholar like Bullinger.

It is a lot easier to read and Lockwood’s goal was to write the amplified as true to original translation as possible. A lot of places, dates, and who is being talked about are also included in the amplified version.

Lot's wife looking back should've caused Lot distress, even if she hadn't been turned to salt! The wife's decision & subsequent death had many long term impacts for the Israelites. Hi, I’d love if someone would answer my question. I understand Lot’s wife perished so it would be ok if he were to remarry. I know his daughters were trying to preserve his seed, but was it not sinful to sleep with their drunk father on the grounds of incest and sex without marriage? Were they given instruction to do this?
There is no recollection in the Bible about a tradition or given instruction to sleep with a father to preserve the seed. But I'm going to research that. Thank You

The head is Leo (nobility/royalty) and the tail is the lying scorpion. Virgo is depicted holding the palm frond in her right hand and a bundle of grain in her left hand. Libra is the first southern constellation (the sea). The Reed is a water plant.

16:22 Jesus spoke about hell as a place of darkness, a place of sleep. The parable of the rich man and Lazarus was a story. Hebrews 11 shows that, except those who were translated or resurrected, the righteous dead which includes Abel and Abraham are asleep in the grave awaiting the first resurrection. Therefore, Abraham was not in heaven. Hell is the grave and not a place of eternally burning fire and torments. That is the lake of fire after the judgment for those who awake in the second resurrection. This is why Job said that he will see God in his flesh (not his spirit) when his change comes (first resurrection). In Genesis 3, God told Adam and Eve they would die but it was Satan who said they would not. Also, in Jude we see that eternal burning means a long time but with an end as the ruins of Sodom and Gomorrah are with us to this day. To answer the question Disobedience. It will never be OK with GOD it wasn't OK with Adam and Eve it's not OK for Lots wife or for the children of Israel or for you and me it's not OK to disobey GOD. The 10 commandments are just that commands not suggestions or a belief system or if you feel like it or want to. GOD doesn't play.
