Great vid as usual man. And wow, never thought I would see Zoran ever ! Nice to see the great SV doctor, who helped me out with precious and free advice via the internet, on the other side of the planet (I'm in Romania).

He's the man. I might not be racing if it weren't for him.

Awesome man. I found your channel by searching for SV race tips. I live in Japan and am surrounded by gorgeous roads and thinking of giving up on liter bikes and getting an older SV to use for mountains and track days. Your videos are helping me decide. Thanks a million!

Unfortunately, the Sv650 has been sold because there are probably fewer Sv650 tips that have always helped me a lot. But I am convinced that the Aprilia is the best choice to succeed the Sv650! What a beautiful motorcycle that is. Good luck with that, Sam!

Always enjoying your videos, shame the Sv is gone.. hope Aprilia can match the SV reliability.

We have a few more SVs here that we can race if the Aprilia has problems.

The new Aprilia RS660 is sort of a double edged sword. Happy it’s here, the 650 twins class needed the bump in power and tech... but bummed out... just got into track riding (eventually amateur racing) and I set myself up with an SV650. Hopefully it’s still competitive. Again happy to see the class progress but sad that (relatively) cheap racing in twins might start going up a lot in price! Excited to see how LWT progresses next season! Great job Sam, loved watching you race, mid pack is still better than back of the pack!

In MotoAmerica, they will set the rules so that the Aprilia doesn't have an advantage, level playing field. If it makes 85hp stock to the rear wheel, then MA will say you must run stock engine.

RSV4 fairing looks sick! Do you have a video on how to make it fit an sv?

The RS660 will kill the Pro Twin class in NZ as it is a stock class. No engine mods at all just a tune. Can swap out rear shock, exhaust, stock front forks with a few small adjustments add fairings and you are racing for next to nothing. The RS660 is light years ahead of the SV in every single aspect including the price. New SV out of the box is 9k NZ with rumors the RS will be 22 to 23k.

Aprilia in the US is $11,300 USD.
I'm hoping MotoAmerica keeps rules that Ape must keep stock engine to allow the FZ/MT/ER/SV to remain competitive.
