It's just amazing, great, beautiful and wonderful. You took me to the heaven. It's so calm, peaceful and serene. Norway is my dream country, the country of midnight sun. You showed me the white nights of summer. Now, I would like to see the black days of the winter also. 🌈😇🙏🙋
White nights are amazing ...Thanks so much for sharing this . Beautiful landscape and the beach is ideal "far from the noisy crowd " I enjoyed your video and seeing you back posting 👍 Best wishes .and a happy week .
Wow! Thanks for sharing this beautiful video. You traced every step I took (except the Sherpa Steps) in March 2022; it's like you provided me the Summer version of my Winter trip. Though there were dark nights, I did not see any auroras because of weather conditions. However, the Magic was, in the two weeks there, I witnessed more bright sunny days after evening snow storms! I truly felt in the Arctic seeing the mountains covered in brilliant fresh snow across from Telegrafbukta and from up on the mountain above the city. You also showed the "speed ferry" we took for an over-night stay in Harstad to see the Trondenes Historical Museum. I'll be back, and your video is bookmarked for encouragement. Tussen takk!
Nice, hope you will have a nice time. At this time of the year, it's going to be the opposite as in the video, it's almost 24 hours of dark since the sunlight will just at (slightly) below the horizon
@@clarkmadrosen1780 , actually that is not completely true. In the spring and summer of 2022 we had a very long dryspell in the south eastern part of Norway, and water supply was a very big problem in that area. And this is not that uncommon in more southern parts of Norway.
@@Un4Given71 You're right about that, but generally we mostly have an overabundance of water. That doesn't mean local dry spells absolutely never happens, but mostly we have overflowing rivers and creeks. So it's not the normal.
Thank you..since I subscribed to the Channel I do like it...specially Episode like this one...just Peaceful to watch...I don't know is it just me , or indeed it is... Thank you , very exciting to see all..and when you went to the beach..that sounds of the wave and walk 🚶♂️..was charming.....keep it up Greetings from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 🌴 🇸🇦
It looks like in Tromso that despite the midnight sun, there's still enough movement of the sun in the sky to give some kind of day/night cues. So it'd be an adjustment to live there for many, but not as jarring as Longyearbyen or Alert, Nunavut, Canada. What's also cool about Tromso is that despite it being in the Arctic and having midnight sun in May, June, and July and a little polar night in November, December, and January, it actually has a temperate climate, a kind of "continental maritime climate" or "cool summer four-season climate". And then there's mountains where a little snow still remains deep into summer. On a side note, I'd be one of the few people okay without blackout curtains for sleeping since I have a weird sleep disorder that causes my body to not take natural day/night cues. So I can sleep almost as easily at noon with sunlight pouring into my window as I can at midnight in total darkness.
No sun for two months either. November-January. Longer if there's a mountain in the way. In my army camp there was a mountain in the way, so it was totally dark for four months. The sky sort of glowed a little bit over the obstructing mountain for a while after the "sun had returned", and then it went dark again.
@@billyb5057 I was about 190 Km to the south of where Tromsø is in the mountains there. Lots of rain and lots of mosquitoes in summer, Cold AF (-41C was the coldest around Christmas) and lots of snow in winter. The climate on the coast is a little more reasonable, which is why most people live there. Anyway, Tromsø is the farthest north I've been. We went to a Prodigy concert there when we had a weekend off from army stuff. Long ago now, but a rather unforgettable year of military conscription in Norway. As a southern city boy it was sort of rough.
Such a powerful nature phenomenon. I wonder if the people there darken their houses so that they can sleep well? Did you see the Northern Lights there? Thank you Goodstuff for showing your amazing experience!
They have blinds usually for the windows.. Since it's currently 24hrs if daylight, northern light is not visible but i am planning to fly further north in winter just to see it.
Blinders for the windows is a must that far north, at least if you plan on sleeping at all. I was in the army a few miles south of here, and we had blinders we used in summer in the barracks. They didn't keep the mosquitoes out, though...
Tromso is midnight sun white nights is in the sound but even in germany luxemburg south england brlgium its not fully dark to gray nights in scotland its like stockholm 60 dregrees north i live at 50,5 north so sunrise at 5 hour 22 am until 22 04 pm not really dark to but not like tromso offcours whats the latitudr 70,12 there
They are used to it already.. i was able to sleep by closing the blinds on the windows. Contrary to summer, in the winter time, the sun doesn't rise at all so the city is dark all day
Sayyid, you are wrong. Those northern countries are beautiful to live. Summer time is extremely beautiful, it gives you a lot more time to live outdoors as one does in southern countries, where the sun sleeps at 6pm which I find such a pity!
Mosquitos do not breed in the sea. They need stagnant fresh water. Small ponds, marshes and such. Any place with stationary fresh water (also rain water). The wind from the sea is also something the mosquitos do not like. So not that many mosquitos near the sea shore. Inland - away from the coast - on the other hand.....
The other way round. Inland you have just billions and billions of them, but not on the coast because of the wind. They also can't lay eggs in salt water. Probably not the only reason since there's also fishing and milder weather. but the mosquitoes are at least a reason almost all northern Norwegians live on the coast. I was in the army up there inland, and boy was that a miserable 12 months. Endless mosquitoes and endless sun in the summer, total darkness and -30-40 degree weather in winter. It doesn't get too cold by the ocean either because of the Gulf Stream. But just a few miles inland and it turns into Siberia.

they get used to it and they normally have blinds for the windows
just cover the windows with black curtains

Surely with the clocks being put forward by an hour in the summer the sun should be at its lowest point at about 1am.

This video is exactly good stuff.
Is there anywhere to skate on a frozen lake near tromso?
Good look
Interesting!!
Indeed
👍😲fenomenal
Agreed, great nature phenomenon
Is there any month there , when there will be no sun rise ?
Yes, during winter around end of November to January
in winter time when the sky is clear, you can see the sun or its shine on the horizon direction south,
she does not vanish completely.
How can you even sleep if its 76 days of constant daylight up there?
The people who live there have adapted to that. From what i saw there, they put blinds on the windows of their houses

Yes but during December - januari ( winter ) 24 hours darkness
True.. that is the best time to see the northern lights
3:00 Kabayan!
Guys, the midnight sun is actually 3 months and 7 days, not 2 months
And because Norway uses Central European Summer Time (CEST), the sun will be at its lowest point somewhere around 1am. not 12mn.
Sad to see how unfortunate they are. How can people live there. Do they migrate to other countries on summer?
They are used to it already.. i was able to sleep by closing the blinds on the windows.
Contrary to summer, in the winter time, the sun doesn't rise at all so the city is dark all day
All you need are a pair of sun glasses and you'll sleep like a rock.
