Hmmm tricky to make a vid exclusively on harmonics. Perhaps I’ll release a short about them. Quick tricks are applying no pressure to the left hand and using about twice as much bow speed and half a much pressure as usual. 👍
Honestly I usually am just using the default omnidirectional. My guess is that cardioid might be better. I’ve only done a little experimentation with it. I’ve noticed a bigger sound difference in mic placement rather than polar pattern and I did invest in a great mic. Thanks for the compliment on the sound. 👍
mic placement is this important? how far from the violin you leave it? and i just saw the price of your mic... a little beyond my reality, haha! but one day i will have it. it's so good@@priceviolinacademy
