You drawing all of these "Scavengers" makes me think how cool it would be to see the Scavengers basically being a mish mash of Anthro animals
Like Wren could be an anthrophomorfic Wren, Ivy could be some sort of plant creature with ivy wrapping and so on, they speak "common" language (essencially Human language) to communicate between each other

I just remembered that when I heard the word scavenger in the books foe the first time, I pictured more of a organization of dragons that's main purpose was to spread anarchy due to how they killed a queen and started a long war

I can't believe how common this actually was, I felt so dumb when I realised they were humans and was even in denial for a hot moment.
I remember the books constantly going on how "strange" scavangers looked to them, so I also imagined them as weird. I just imagine these creepy goblin things that were like 40% leg and 40% arms with hair all over their head only.

I only thought this for a couple chapters in the first book but I imagined them as these hunchback vulture-like creatures that walked on two legs, had a black cape, a sword and a brown sack for carrying treasure 😂

I always thought they were wide blue eyed, with darker grey skin, white fur atop their head with battered nails, and just looked like the most adorable lil’ primate thing. I found out they weren’t this in Brightest Night but I still like imagining them as this from time to time.

it took me till maybe the end of arc 1 when i saw the graphic novel and realized that they were people, i thought they were like terror bird looking things with a massive claw as an arm and a reptillian tail. i was sad when i found out they were people

I always pictured them as these little grey dragon dudes with tufts of white hair, no wings, short snouts, and stood on two legs. Heck I even made a character who was a Sandwing scavenger hybrid! (I was like 9 lol) I saw art of flower and Smolder on google in school once but thought the person was stupid for making her a human haha... it was only when I saw the art at the very end of book 7 of her did I realize the error of my ways.😅

When I read the first book, I thought they were feathery velociraptors from Jurassic Park, with blue upper scales and yellow striped scales, with light green underscales, and when I read the second book, I was like: “OH the “scavengers” are humans!!! NOW I get it!”

When I was reading arc 3 I thought the reading monkeys were actually monkeys that could read. But when I realized in book 14 when Wren was introduced to Cricket they were humans- 😭😭
