If your droid is moving correctly in the forward and backward directions but the left and right are reversed, you can fix this by either swapping the motor wire pairs on the Sabertooth motor controller, or by changing a parameter in the Shadow-MD code.
This video goes over both options.

Cool and thank you for the documentation.
I'm still collecting all of the electronic bits in order to finally put my electronics together. Thanks for all of the handy tips.
I am not looking forward to having to get into the code to add all the extras I've accumulated over the years.

Sounds like you're going to end up with a very special build! Good luck!

Love how much of your process you've shared. Most do 5-8 videos for the entire droid, you are killing it. A super great resource, thank you!

Thanks! I guess I went to the other extreme!

I need to document my process too. Having video references is so helpful when building this monster project.

It's been an unexpected benefit. Whether you do video or even just lots of photos, the ability to go back and review how you did something can be helpful in such a big project that can take quite a long time to complete.

Nice job! As a software engineer myself, I have a sneaking suspicion that once I start digging through the Shadow code, I'll want to make all sorts of little changes, too - naming conventions and code organization are two things I'm very particular about. Oh, when you do get around to your new dome, consider NOT gluing the top circle panel in place. I created some magnetic tabs that hold mine in place and being able to pop it off to pick up the dome (or even just to peer inside) is a really handy thing.

Thanks Jason! I saw your modification and it's one I'd like to implement as well.

What are those yellow wire connectors. The one you pointed to where the dome motor connects to. It appears you use a medium gauge wire to your 24v system. Do you really need that heavy of a gauge? I'm about to re-wire my R2 to make it easier to remove the board from the R2. I think those yellow wire connectors are way to go.

@@GunnerAl9 The connectors I used are XT60 and XT90. The 90 can handle more current than the 60.
I'd rather have thicker wire than too thin. You risk melting the wires if you pass too much current through, so I erred on the side of safety.

Nope, its the Michael Baddeley MKIII. At the time I printed it I had a Tevo Tornado printer with a 300mm x 300mm bed, so it saved me time being able to print the larger pieces. I've sold that printer, so if I need to reprint anything I'll have to use the Version 2 files, or cut the MKIII parts to fit. Of course, I could also use that as justification for buying a new printer:)
