I tried this the other day after watching the other video. It worked so well the flowers look great I gave the petals curves after the first dip then re dipped. Put my leftover mix into old brown pill jars used it again the next day still good as fresh. I added alcohol ink and it didn't block the cure. Yay now to let my imagination take over.
I've made miniatures for years. Using nail enamel as you stated in the last video. I've done larger pieces and think I may have an idea for you to experiment with larger pieces. I had the same problem with popping. What I did was to coat the wire frame, let it dry and it gives more for the product to grasp. The larger the piece a 2nd coating prior to filling works.
That's so cool how that tiny bit of glue works. I absolutely love your experiments Daniel. There is a real learning curve with your videos. Thanks again! Keep em coming!❤😊
A friend requested a 3 circle makeup holder made of clear resin with medium size gold glitter. She did not want the glitter to sink. Perfect timing with your Elmer’s clear glue video. I used the 1:1 Let’s Resin (not UV)for a quantity of one cup. After mixing 3.5 minutes I added 4 small drop of clear Elmer’s Glue. Within seconds the resin became moderately thick. I stirred in gold glitter and poured into the mold. 10 to 12 hours later I removed the mold. The resin holder looked great. The gold was mixed throughout the entire mold. If I were to critique my work there was a little extra glitter at the bottom, but nothing like in past projects.I was shocked to see glitter holding its’ location when I removed silicone mold. Amazing! This information is a sure winner. This is definitely a resin/glitter game changer. The friend continually told me how much she loved the makeup holder. Thank you, THANK YOU. Keep experimenting.😁
I love playing with your new technique. I think some of the blobs on the back look like dew drops; especially when you dust them with the blue nail powder. I put the main color on the top of the petal first.😍
This is the question I needed an answer for. I remembered making wire flowers as a child out of some plastic-y substance & floral wire. Once a wire twister, I still have copper wire and a bunch of findings laying around. Thank you for sizing up so we could see the limits😃👍
Hi Daniel, I just ran across your video. Wonderful! I'm a nail tech who started with nail resin LIGHT CONCEPT!!! , NOT ACRYLIC, 40 years ago. We used the same techniques to color resin before they came out with colored resins for nails. I so wish I had made contact with you years ago!!! To make a long story short; I now am a resin artist and have used my experience with nail resin in my art. I am totally impressed with your experiments,..so much to tell you! LOL I could write a novel for you right here,..all I can say is you are a very talented man and I wish you the best!!!
I love all your videos and I'm going to try adding the glue to thicken the UV resin, but I have found that using a hand held UV light works much better for the initial cure than the lamp.
LOVE this experiment, Dan! That leaf is so cool! I'd wear that in a heartbeat...I love leaves. 💗 ~ Daniel, the heart didn't work well probably because it wasn't flat. The dipped object really needs to be flat to start with. ~ If you completely cure the black layers first, you can then use the nail powder and rub it on firmly, rather than dabbing it. That prevents excess powder staying on, which interferes with the shine. Or, so say the nail experts. I keep my nails cut to the quick. 😅
I was thinking the same, a white organza should work well and is fairly cheap.. failing that a pair of old tights chopped up would be a good improvisation!
@frogzone7250 I was thinking an octagon mesh like a single layer of what a loofah is made out of so it's structural but maybe it can still be see through
I am loving these experiments! You’ve given me so much inspiration, my mind is buzzing with ideas. I love wirework, and to be able to combined it with resin and colors… Oh, the world of opportunities 💡🤩
Love it, the leaf is gorgeous, love the way you added spines as a detail, leaves my head spinning with ideas. Thank you Daniel fro sharing these ideas. 🤍🤎❤️🧡💛🎃
I'm still in the learning phase here. Just an idea, on the leaf where you added the additional wire using UV Resin, would it work to add just a very tiny amount of a clear barely white holographic color to the UV resin so that when the leaf moves it kind of has a rainbow effect like Dew Drops in the morning? Just curious is all. Cause where you placed the UV Resin to keep the wires together reminded me instantly of morning dew. I thought it was cool at least.
You answered a question I was wondering about, can one use regular PVA glue, cause I have some of it but not the clear Ellmers glue. Thank you Daniel. Hugs from 🇨🇦
Love your channel! I was wondering what would happen if you use less expensive earring bezel metal (metal that would turn color over time) if dipped in resin actually holds its color.
Love watching your experiments ❤ you inspire us all to push our boundaries to try something new. So APPRECIATE YOU. I LOVE how the leaf turned out. Would love to see you make something from all those pieces ❤
I believe you need to hold it perfectly still while it cures. It’s so thin, it WILL cure on both sides. You can also add mirror under the lamp to bounce the UV rays .
Your channel has become required watching for me. When i finally start working again, I will DEFINITELY support you directly. You are fabulously creative. Thank you. 😊
I dip coat some of my jewellery elements after I've finished them, not using your method, I use straight up UV, but what I do do, is hold them with surgical pliers and literally keep turning them so no drip forms. You can do it with pliers and a rubber band too. I raise my UV lamp up on books to give myself space. all that being said, the dip resin you've created is brilliant and a game changer for me, no more sticky tape! So as always, thanks for that Daniel! x ps...yes mate show us it done with epoxy pleeeeease! :)
I've seen where they have said and showed that double dipping doesn't work with the commercial/store bought types of Dipping resins. Your method appears to work. Have you tried this with different types UV resin viscosities.?
Thank you for sharing all of your experiments. I’m glad you like to experiment. I like that you have a bright, curious, and questioning mind. Not to be totally selfish (but it is definitely sound that way), but you make the process so much easier for the rest of us. I watch you and some other people, and my mind goes “what if I were to do this slightly different, what would happen?” I thought earrings or a pendant with the big one where you said that you could make jewelry. The leaf, I thought pendant, definitely pendent. This seems to be all about surface tension versus size/area. I think there will be a point where the size is just too big to for the surface tension to hold. This makes me think about trying to catch enough of the soap/water mixture on your bubble wand to go and run around blowing soap bubbles. (We used to use dish soap and water to make the solution we would use to blow bubbles)
I've had success with slightly bigger ones by sitting my lamp side ways so as soon as I pull it out, I can spin the wire as the resin cures. Can be tricky if you don't have your lamp secured to sit sideways
To minimize the blobs or drops, you might try turning the wire while it is being cured under the UV light, so it starts hardening on both surfaces, and won't sinks into a blob. It is easier if you start with a small UV flashlight for some seconds front and back, and then place it under the UV "oven" to finish hardenng.
Huh... I actually love both sides of the leaf you made. The black side gives a stubtle hint of color while the clear side hits you in the face with color. Both are pretty in their own way. 😍👍 BTW, for a temporary "dipping pot" any tall, narrow container that won't let liquids out will work. A tall pill bottle for instance. You don't make huge pieces so you really don't need anything bigger and if you can't find a dark container just cover it with duct tape or something similarly opaque so sunlight can't leak in and cure your resin. 😉👌 You're getting a bit better at working with the wire, yay! Good job! 👏😁
I've been experimenting with glitter glue and epoxy resin... Small drop added as I mixed, with or without regular glitter or color added. I find that it works very well BUT use caution on the amount of glue you add.
Have you done the epoxy dipping experiment yet? I would love to see it. Thank you for sharing your experience, process and knowledge with us. Greetings from Toronto
I absolutely adore your videos, but may i make a technical request? You audio is so quiet that i have to turn my volume all the way up to hear you, and if i forget that ive done that i get blasted by anything else that plays 😅 I'm sure there's an easy way to fix it, if you did I'm sure me and many others would appreciate it! Im looking forward to more videos!
Have you tried laying the skeleton wire on resin tape then adding the resin? I've also found that coating a two sided pieces finished side with liquid silicone protects it when working on the other side.
Daniel i would love a good tour around your brain because it's epic and you come up with one absolutely amazing thing after another it's so wonderful how u are so kind and share all your break throughs with us all❤

That leaf is so pretty. As a jewelry maker, my mind is buzzing. You never fail to inspire!
Thank you so much! 😊
Right
Tested it just today with the white Elmer's glue. It starts a little cloudy but when you leave it to sit for bubbles to rise it clears up.
Yay, so glad it worked for you Vicky 😊😊
TY for trying that, Vicky, as I don't think we have any clear glue anymore. But, the white does dry clear, so...?
@@fairyspunfibers9098 yes it did. I'm going to try some other things later tonight.
Thank you for trying that as I have white Elmer's glue and was hoping that would work!
That's so cool how that tiny bit of glue works. I absolutely love your experiments Daniel. There is a real learning curve with your videos. Thanks again! Keep em coming!❤😊
Thank you very much! 😊 It's crazy isn't it!
I love the idea of earrings. Personally I’d raise the UV lamp on wood blocks to give more room to twiddle!😂
Thanks Sue, yep, I definitely need to do this 😂

DUDE! I LOVE the curled leaf stem! Might want to dome that concave side of the leaf -- that'd be so boss! 👍😊
Thank you 😊 Yes, I bent the heart so it would fit in the cup better but just made it harder for myself 😂 I have bigger pots arriving today 😊
The leaf is gorgeous as a pendant! Beautiful!!!!!!!
Can you use a thin fabric mesh to fill larger shapes or make your own thread support pattern to make smaller pockets more discreetly
Now that's a genius idea! 🤩🤩🤩🤩 Love this!
I was thinking the same, a white organza should work well and is fairly cheap.. failing that a pair of old tights chopped up would be a good improvisation!
@frogzone7250 I was thinking an octagon mesh like a single layer of what a loofah is made out of so it's structural but maybe it can still be see through
I love that you used UV to join the wires. It looked soldered when I first saw the leaf.
Thanks Myla 😊
I’m so glad that you show how to troubleshoot in your videos
Thanks 😊 Gotta show the bad with the good 😊😊😊
I am loving these experiments! You’ve given me so much inspiration, my mind is buzzing with ideas. I love wirework, and to be able to combined it with resin and colors… Oh, the world of opportunities 💡🤩
Thanks so much for the Super Thanks 😊 🥰
i have made wire shapes and stuck them to packing tape and then "fill" them with the resin..it works for any size
Yes, I have done this also 😊
Love it, the leaf is gorgeous, love the way you added spines as a detail, leaves my head spinning with ideas. Thank you Daniel fro sharing these ideas. 🤍🤎❤️🧡💛🎃
Thanks so much Maddie 😊

Yes, that can be done and would look awesome 😊😊
I'm loving these videos Daniel. Well done! Thanks for sharing with us. ♥
My pleasure! Thanks as always 😊😊
That is so cool! I love how you made the leaf. I thought it was welded! That's awesome that you can do that with UV resin.
Beautiful.. great job..it makes lovely insect wings too..I put dragonfly glaze on...I like the leaf pendant and the curl on the top❤
Thank you! 😊
You answered a question I was wondering about, can one use regular PVA glue, cause I have some of it but not the clear Ellmers glue.
Thank you Daniel.

Another great achievement Mr C. Keep em coming 👍👍♥️♥️🥰🥰
Thanks Michelle 😊
If you keep coming up with these new ideas, a resin company will see it and want to hire you. 😊
Fingers crossed Bob 🤞 😂
Several of the multicolored leaf would look really pretty hanging on a dream catcher. The twisted loop is perfect for attaching a jump ring.
That's a great idea 😊😊
I am very curious about the 2 part epoxy version. I am not always thrilled with the rougher finish i get with UV resin.
I will film it soon 😊😊
LOVE that leaf!!!!!!
Absolutely amazing! I love seeing your experiments 💜
Thanks Kristin 😊😊
I do want to see how you use the 2 part epoxy. Thank you
Coming soon! 😊😊
Love watching your experiments ❤ you inspire us all to push our boundaries to try something new. So APPRECIATE YOU. I LOVE how the leaf turned out. Would love to see you make something from all those pieces ❤
Thanks Tammy 😊 I will do soon, it's mainly to show everyone how it can be used for the moment 😊
I believe you need to hold it perfectly still while it cures. It’s so thin, it WILL cure on both sides. You can also add mirror under the lamp to bounce the UV rays .
Please!! Show us how to do that with 2 parts resin!! I’m begging you 😁😁😁

Fusion recipes will be great !
Ohhh that leaf is stunning, love that, yes always share your videos, would love to see that video, thank you Dan ❤
Brilliant!! This is so exciting Daniel 🎉 The leaf is just gorgeous ❤

Omg that leaf was sooo beautiful
That leaf turned out very beautiful actually. Thank you for sharing all your experiments.

Oh, I didn't know this, that changes even more then! More testing to come with other viscosity 😊
I so enjoy your experiments, when you have it perfected this is going to spread like wildfire. Great technique and gorgeous results.
Thank you very much! 😊
Thank you very much! 😊
Wonder if it would be possible to blow the film like a bubble, with a bit of practice.
Thank you for sharing all of your experiments. I’m glad you like to experiment. I like that you have a bright, curious, and questioning mind. Daniel I still love that you keep pushing the envelope! You are doing wonderful work! Thanks so much🤗💕💙
Thank you so much! 😊
I'm super amazed with your work 😊
Thank you so much 😀
That leaf would make an amazing pendant
I've had success with slightly bigger ones by sitting my lamp side ways so as soon as I pull it out, I can spin the wire as the resin cures. Can be tricky if you don't have your lamp secured to sit sideways
I love your experimental spirit! So much fun. 💥✨

I could watch you all day 😊
Thanks so much 🥰
To minimize the blobs or drops, you might try turning the wire while it is being cured under the UV light, so it starts hardening on both surfaces, and won't sinks into a blob. It is easier if you start with a small UV flashlight for some seconds front and back, and then place it under the UV "oven" to finish hardenng.
This is good, it will save me so much money. Thank you
I love the you make the leaf frame using UV resin to join the wires. I thought you had soldered it at first
Thank you for all of your experiments! Love your channel!!
You are so welcome! Thanks Carol 😊
Thank you again, Daniel. You really need to put a sheet of white paper under your lamp, as it reflects the UV quite well.
Thank you 😊 Yes, I still need to try that 😊😊
And another one!!! ❤❤❤!! Seriously amazing!
Thank you 😊
Love how you keep improving the process.
Thank you! 😊
Great video! Love this technique!! TFS!

The leaf would make a great earring! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Looks really good love the colours in the leaf
Thanks so much 😊
I hope I did not overstep with that last comment. I love learning from you. So thank you.
Not at all, you didn't say anything nasty 🥰
Genius, Daniel!!!❤
Hey Daniel! I get butterfly wing vibes from your purple petals!
I'm going to try that technique. Thank you for the tutorial.
You’re welcome 😊 Thank you 😊
It's almost midnight here, and I'm tempted to go try this right now. That leaf is beautiful!
Thank you 😊
Damn, that's good! I was moving my phone around to catch the colours 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤣👍
😂😂😂. Thanks Sue 😊
Lovely leaf!❤
Stunning work.
Thanks as always 😊
This is fabulous! God love your experiments! ❤❤
Stunning
Love the leaf colours x
Thanks so much 😊
I've been experimenting with glitter glue and epoxy resin... Small drop added as I mixed, with or without regular glitter or color added. I find that it works very well BUT use caution on the amount of glue you add.
Love the leaf will make beautiful earrings, your experiments are so interesting thanks for sharing them with us

Enjoyed this video Daniel great experiments 👍🤗🤗🤗
Thank you 🤗
Thank you for teaching me so much and they are easy to follow- bought you a coffee- love your accent!!
Thanks so much Cyndi 😊
I like the curl on the stem! Would make a pretty pendant choker 👏👏
I think so too! Thank you 😊
Love it. I wonder could you put the leaf with the purple petals and create a brooch? Or a fancy bag charm.
Sure can 😊😊😊
Beautiful leaf💜
Put a piece of tape down, press the hoop firmly down, fill with resin and cure?
🎉Very cool 😎 . Love 💝 the 🍃leaf! 😊
Thanks so much 😊
❤️ LOVE ❤️
GOD BLESS 🙌 🙏
