Yeah, but if you look closer, the chroma outside the windows in Frank's apartment is a green screen. I know a chroma key can be any intense color (green, blue or red prefered). So, in the scene with the jetpack outside Frank's apartment, Kick-Ass was in suit (green) in front of a green chroma key screen. My question was how did they do the effect. But I think I figured it out already :)
BLUE screen. RED screen. The colour doesn't matter much. The only reason green is most commonly used is because there is less green in human skin than any other colour. In a suit, it wouldn't matter. You could use any colour that isn't in the suit.
Yeah, but as long as the screen is very evenly lit, you can get away with it, since the suit is more of a blue/green colour. Plus, there's no real reason for kickass to have been in that shot right there. In the movie, you mostly see him from the other angle. In this video, he could just have been there for the other actors to know where he was meant to be and for the effects artists to later know where he was meant to be. Although, they could have just used a dummy for that.
I really love watching these behind the scenes special effects videos. It's always very interesting to see how the visual effects were done.
What was said about the warehouse scene

Green screen, and Kick-Ass's suit was ALSO green? How the heck did they do the chroma effect?
