Steve is one of the best guitarist in the world, that is for sure, but his vocals are just oustanding, so enjoyable to hear his voice, true definition of quality singing.
I've never been into many bands, but this one does it for me! Luke is a brilliant, talented musician. Also, the best guitar player ever! His feelings seem to definitely come out in his music.
He did make some solo albums... Lukather, Candyman, Luke, Santamental, Ever Changing Times, All's Well That Ends Well, Transition, I Saw the Sun Again and Bridges.

Toto is probably one of the only true bands left and this new music still doesn’t beat them. THATS A FACT. A new favorite, I’d heard this song before but I didn’t know it was Toto
And, that’s why I listen to older music, rather than this new stuff they call music. All it really is, is mumbling or repetitive pop hooks. Today, you could just sing La La and you’ll have a hit, also Autotune is the thing too now. Back then you actually had to be a great musician and had to work hard. Don’t get me wrong there is some great music out there today, but nothing beats 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s music. Toto was one of the best bands out there, really sad that they retired. Luke and Joe might go on tour though, if this whole Covid thing goes away though.

Mind you, there is some new music that I enjoy, but not much. Everything is not even humans playing anymore. It's all machines and autotune. I remember there was a Justin Beiber song that sounded very similar to a TOTO song called Goin' Home and the funny thing is that the Beiber song had like 9 writers and they still couldn't come up with an original melody/chord progression. You actually had to have talent and you actually had to know how to play your instrument and you had to know how to sing in pitch. Now you could mumble words, add fake instruments, add autotune and have an automatic hit.
Steve is very good in this song! He has a sweet voice, sometimes slightly scratchy because the song doesn't want the classic rock singer's voice! He outdid himself!

Steve Lukather is the best guitar player of all time, couple with that outstanding vocals and song writing, quite probably the best musician ever.
He was also a backing vocalist on several Van Halen songs.
It's amazing that he didn't go out on his own. He carried the group Toto on his incredible talent. His voice is absolutely beautiful.
