    Pee- 闻,smell& chee-试 try are Hokien words as well. So Hakka is a mixed of Hokien & Cantonese words.I heard the Chaozhou-Teochew Hakka use the word kai for 的-possesive particle , same as Teochews.

    So many words are similar to Cantonese but then random verbs are so different. Love the videos keep them up!!!

    my wife is Hakka from Bangka, Indonesia and i am Cantonese from Singapore. The whole island of bangka is filled with Hakkas lo

    I use "min" for smell. So for "I don't smell it" I would say "ngai min um dow". Enjoying your channel :)

    I would say "tung" is touch. "Mor" is rub/stroke.
