I love the "weakening" feeling of a botox lip flip. It made my lips feel bigger to me which made me feel more beautiful. It only made a slight difference when looking at me, but just the feeling of having bigger lips makes it worth it in my opinion.
And when you feel more beautiful you are more beautiful! I am excited to get my Botox lip flip, some forehead to stop wrinkles from deepening and maybe a filler in top lip. Reading part of your experience helps me with what to expect ❤❤❤
This was so helpful! I went in to get lip filler for the first time but my injector said i already had decently full lips and that she was more comfortable doing a flip and then seeing how I feel about it in a couple weeks because my muscles do hide my lips when talking or smiling! I definitely took her suggestion but I’m sure I’ll still want filler. I really appreciated her opinions tho and it wa nice to hear that’s he thought my lips were full enough already. I never used to be insecure about them but since literally everyone now a days is getting filler, I end up comparing and then my naturally full lips look inadequate

Your videos are the most detailed and helpful of any I've seen and I love your desire to help patients understand what is ideal for them! You put so much thought into your videos and lip fullness scale and stuff - it doesn't go unnoticed ❤
What the patient didn't tell you: 1) 8 units of lip filler was too much. I was unable to purse my lips enough to do basic things like drink water out of a glass. I drooled out the water/fluids every time I drank something. 2) The "lip flip" treatment only lasts 2-3WEEKS MAXIMUM. So when this practitioner decided to put filler in just my bottom lip, my top lip looked extra thin thin once the effects of lip flip wore off. 3) I either have to get the "lip flip" done on my upper lip every month OR I have to have my upper lip treated with filler as well b/c lip flip only lasts 3 wks max. 4) The practitioner didn't consider my overall face. I used to have a classic feminine "heart shaped" face. Now the larger lips actually bring the eye downward on my face, attracting the eye to the width of my jaw, rather than the beautiful heart-shape bony structure that brings the eye towards my pretty eyes (the prettiest feature of my face)! But this is the consequence of going to a practitioner who only treats a few areas/doesn't have a holistic view of beauty.
Thanks for sharing your story. Do you mean the 8 units of Botox or whichever neuromodulator you were treated with? Are you referring to what happened to you or someone you know?

She says she got 8 units of lip filler but it’s clear that she meant 8 units of Botox. (Which is the exact amount you gave the patient.) 2. She says that she got filler in her bottom lip but because it lasted so little, her top lip looked extra thin in comparison. (The patient in this video only got filler to their bottom lip. 3. She says that she has a feminine heart shaped face and her eyes are her best feature. (The patient has a heart shaped face with wide, high cheekbones. Her eyes are also her best feature.) 4. She says the larger lips attract the eye to the width of her jaw which is also true. There’s also the way she begins her comment: “What the patient didn’t tell you.”

I see a doctor for masseter Botox injections (I have bruxism) and asked about trying the lip flip. The weakening feeling definitely made eating and drinking a little awkward for a time. I have an M-shaped upper lip and, at least in the first couple of weeks, the flip made the middle fleshy part of my upper lip stick out in a weird way. It did settle down eventually and I liked the subtle result, but it only lasted about a month.
Thanks for sharing your story. The lip flip doesn’t last long. This video goes more in depth on the lip flip 👉 ruclips.net/video/ZKSzcR6I9fE/видео.htmlsi=ZmTVN3Rqm_6tTIhN
Whoa, only a month? Getting needle for only a month worth of result seems to be not very worth it, especially for botox. Wonder if they will ever tweak formula to give a longer lasting result. Thanks 4 sharing! To all.
Working at a medi spa that offers majorly discounted rates on fillers and Botox/Daxxify/ etc. I knew I had to take advantage of it, even though I already have very full lips. My lips are probably one of my favorite body parts, but I still wanted some evening out on the outer corners, and a little plumpness (think: I want to my lips to look the way they do after I've put on a coat of Lip Injection gloss by TooFaced, all the time). I started with a little under half a syringe of Juvederm Vollure, and have since had two lip flips. The second one is just now setting in with Daxi. I can already feel/see it after 36 hours. I feel as though they look amazing with just a pinch of filler and the lip flip actually just gives them an "oomph." I wouldn't want more filler until it wears off, because I don't want to look like a Bratz doll. You can usually tell when someone has had a lot of filler and no offense but it's not very attractive, I just wanted my own lips but boosted. The flip is really the way to go if you already have medium-large lips; filler will be more beneficial to very thin lips. I suggest if you are on the med-full size naturally to ONLY go half a syringe at first.
Thank you for your comment. That’s the whole point of a lip enhancement is to add some oomph. Yes I don’t like it when I can tell that someone has filler as well.
Emily - I have a question. As someone who has naturally moderate size lips and no gummy smile, the one time I tried a lip flip I was barely able to raise my top lip above my teeth and my smiling/talking looked very off. Was this the result of too much botox, or should I avoid trying it again at all in the future?
Yes it could be that too many units were used. I would suggest giving it another try and go to a provider very familiar with the procedure. Maybe they just need to do less units. (Not suggesting that you didn’t go to someone who was familiar with the procedure)
in both cases the effect is beautiful and most importantly - natural. My lips are quite large if we are talking about the lower lip, but the upper lip is much smaller (although I like its shape very much). I am thinking about lip flip and maybe I will decide to do it. I used to think about lip filer, but in my country 95% of people have the effect that it looks like a duck. I would give a lot for a specialist like you in my area.
Thank you for sharing! Most women’s upper lip is smaller than their lower lip. I think you may benefit from a lip flip, since you mentioned your upper lip is much smaller. I’m curious, what country are you in?
@@karola9483 Ahhh ok. Thanks for letting me know. Here in LA I can’t escape seeing unnatural looking lip filler. It’s all over. Especially with people who work in the industry. Including the sales reps who sell it.
This video was so informative! I’ve been considering a flip but I’m not sure if it’s the best option for me. My reasoning is because my lip falls down on one side due to a childhood injury. I dont want fuller lips. I just want them to look symmetrical more so than they do. Do you have any advice?
If you get a chance - could you address botox brow drop and the types of people who SHOULD NOT have botox in the brow? I recently had a brow drop pretty significantly (from a skilled surgeon....) but he said it was because my brow muscle was doing all the work holding my brows 'higher' than they would normally sit. If I had KNOWN that I would not have done botox to the brow, a dropped brow ages you 10-15 or more years.
I actually plan to make another video on the Botox Brow Lift and include real patient photos, as I did in the first video. Are you sure you brow dropped or did your eyelid ? There’s a difference. Your forehead muscles frontalis muscle is the one responsible for elevating your brows, not the muscle by the brow bone (Procerus and corrugators). Have you watched this video? 👉 ruclips.net/video/_TBNO7KfD9U/видео.html
I have a long philtrum, and I don't like the idea of weak upper lip because I am one of those people who talks more with lower lip which doesn't look good (I saw on videos). What bothers me with lip fillers is possible migration.
It all depends on how much space is between the base of your nose to your upper lip. I can’t recommend or advise without seeing the individual face. For some a lip flip or filler won’t be as beneficial as getting a lip lift surgery.
Great video! The front desk girls got lip flips but didn’t keep them up as they said they didn’t feel it was worth it. I’m going to ask if I’m a candidate as I have small thin lips. Im a little worried about filler migration not that I have ever had a full syringe, it’s subtle but still can migrate. Thank you ❤
I’m 45 and I noticed with age my mouth feels very tense. My mouth has always been full and I’ve always had a slightly gummy smile. I think a lip flip will be good for me
What do you recommend for someone like me that when my mouth are close my sides of the top lip doesn’t really show just the middle and when I smile my lips curl’s in ?❤️ I’ve tried fillers to make my sides bigger but they still doesn’t show like they “should”❤️ Never heard or seen pictures with my type of lip shape
Hi Sabrina. There are some people who have very unique anatomy. I really cannot advise without seeing your face and lips. I offer virtual consults so that I can give individualized advice.
Very good young lady and as usual I am at a crossroads between lip filler vs lip flip, having seen your most informative video on the subject,..I must consult you on what would be best for me??🌹
What about people with dentures? I really want a lip flip, because I have that sunken feeling ish/look and I dont know what to do or even if anything would work. Great vid by the way!
I just got my lip flip and fillers done last week. My question is which filler do you think is better? I ended up using reatylane kiss instead of juvaderm but I’m not sure if that was a good choice?
I like Restylane Kysse. I don’t love Juvederm ultra or ultra plus. I listed my favorite fillers in the description of this video 👉 ruclips.net/video/yFJnRyi_hi4/видео.html
Kinda odd question, but if someone with lip filler likes to... enjoy her partner's lollypop in a rough way, can that be something that makes lip filler migrate more quickly, or does expert placement prevent this? 🙈 I've thought about filler (I'm a 1-2 lip fullness) but I'm a professional singer and have a lovely boyfriend and don't want feel like I need to be precious with my lips. Would love to know your thoughts! 😂 xo
Hmmm, how bout if the horizontal width of the lips is the issue? I have relatively thick lips but I think they are too narrow and I want them to be balanced withmy other features.
So you desire more width? Filler helps a lot with vertical height but I have not had anyone desire more width. I think in giving more volume overall could help but it would be interesting to see your lips.
This! I have a small mouth & big cheeks. I got a lip lift last year & dissolved my previous filler. (Never got more than 1 syringe) the top lip overall looks bigger & shorter philtrum with helps w midface.
@@NaturalInjector yes and no. I think the surgeon was great, but I still have to overtime my lip. I basically want to contour my top lip to more round w filler. Thank you! Yes it only enhances the upper lip BUT with that being said as I mentioned in the video, a lot of beauty when it comes to the lips is in the area of the Cupid bow which is what a lip flip can enhance.
my lips are definitely even thinner than type 1, what should i start off with? i am scared that i won't even notice a difference with a lip flip, but i am also scared that botox might make my lips look very weird and unnatural, like a duck facr 😅
It’s not a filler but a neuromodulator can migrate which can cause it to go to the wrong muscles. I’ve never had this happen with a lip flip but it’s why we ask that you avoid exercise, hot tubs, or anything that can cause sweating after you get injected with a neuromodulator for around 24 hrs(not filler).
Does a lip flip also help with the horizontal line that can form with age between the nose and top lip and is especially visible when people smile? Thanks.
Just turned 40 & got my 1st injections yesterday. I asked for my lips to be done too. When he finished I asked how come he didn’t inject much & he said, he did a lip flip- Wtf ?! I had no idea there's such thing as a lip flip. I wanted fillers, not flip ! I’m terrified of Botox ! It scares the crap out of me! I've had friends get Botox & look angry & swollen. Botox freaks me out & I sure as hell dont want It near my lips! After learning all about a lip flips. I’m so upset I was given one! Since getting it done ( yesterday) my Cupid’s bow dropped & is lower from my nose than normal. This's driving me crazy. Is this normal ? Are my lips ever going back up ? I read it takes a few days to kick in & besides being livid, I'm petrified. I can tell my lips aren't as thin but I don't care if they end up looking gorgeous if my Cupid's bows dropped from my nose like this. I don't think injecting Botox for lips is smart or worth the risks! I'd rather keep my thin lips or have fillers done. The guy who did my injections is a cosmetic surgeon w/25 Yrs of experience & I'm so angry i wasn't told what I was getting when I wanted fillers ! It's not worth losing ur muscles in ur lips! It's insane anyone would want a lip flip
I’m sorry that you were not aware what treatment was done to you. The lip flip usually causes the lips to evert as opposed to invert. I have a video out that explains exactly what it does. It’s not done in the actual lips but to the muscle around the lips. It’s actually a way less risky procedure than lip filler which can potentially cause arterial occlusion and unnatural looking results. If you don’t like the results, the result doesn’t usually last long. Here are 2 videos that you may find helpful 👉 ruclips.net/video/ZKSzcR6I9fE/видео.html
@@NaturalInjector thanks 🙏🏼 I appreciate the info! My lips look bigger & natural but my Cupid’s bow’s longer & so is the space in between my nose & lips. I’m sure they won’t mind adding a little filler to my top lip to bring it up some so it doesn’t drive me crazy. Other than that I’m really super happy w/my results on the rest of my face. He did do an incredible job. I just wish I was given a chance to choose between a flip of fillers. Thank u for all the awesome info I’ll definitely watch ur videos on lip flips. 🥰

@@thedivinefeminine1821 lol 😆I should’ve! I switched injectors & got a little filler & it looks better. A flip’s not supposed to make ur lips look lower on ur face but it did mine. Hi Doctor, I have thin lips and a large space between nose and upper lip BUT I also have a gummy smile. I don’t want injections. I also heard lip flip will be hard given the gummy smile. Are there any solutions to this?
Pretty sure I know the answer to this already, but if your main concern is that from a profile view, your bottom lip protrudes forward more than your top lip, would you use lip filler or a lip flip to help the upper lip to at least meet the bottom lip so that they are even in how much they protrude from the face?
Good question. It really depends I can’t advise without seeing the profile of your lips. Where do you feel you fall on the lip thickness scale? What number?
No it usually if anything looks shorter. The upper lip by the cupids bow can gain a little height, it’s very subtle. Check this video out for an example 👉 ruclips.net/video/ZKSzcR6I9fE/видео.htmlsi=IdiPZo106ilHhHrx

crazy how all these enhancements are essentially to give women the features naturally common with black/ west african women. Larger glutes, lips high cheek bones and narrow waist.
You make an excellent point. A lot of enhancements we do you can say give women more features commonly found in African women but the media will call out when East Asian ppl get eyelid surgery, claiming they want to look more Caucasian (as if Caucasians were the only ones with double eyelids). They will call out African women and Indian women for bleaching their skin. They will call out Middle Eastern ppl, African ppl, and Asians for getting nose jobs with the narrative that they were not proud of their noses and call it “ethnic plastic surgery” yet the media has not one article posting about how European women get lip enhancements, BBL’s and tan their skin. Whenever European ppl make changes that are more commonly found in Africans there will never be an article about that. Just do a google search or search on RUclips about all the documentaries and videos about ppl Africans, Indians, or East Asians bleaching their skin and yet European ppl spray tan and tan in tanning booths which increase the risk of skin cancer but the media will NEVER pitch this as being outrageous. The media is bias and they have a narrative, which is to keep a certain group of ppl on a pedestal while calling out others.
The ' type 2 ' lips on the short haired girl in the picture are very pretty. Why should anyone with her sort of mouth want to change it?
To all.

I just got a lip flip 2 hours ago! I can’t wait for it to kick in!
LOL
Do you realise that most men find this unattractive?
That’s amazing. I like full lips but don’t like fillers
Not everyone loves the idea of lip filler but we will all eventually benefit from it when our lips deflate from aging
I was thinking today .25 syringe and a flip
It must be sad you feel the need to call me that. I love how it looks, and many others would also look amazing.. @Sanity-Always
Can we get both?

Then you should be sure to watch this 👉 ruclips.net/video/yFJnRyi_hi4/видео.html.
Would you recommend a lip flip or anything else to correct a long philtrum? Thanks💞
Thank you ❤

Kinda odd question, but if someone with lip filler likes to... enjoy her partner's lollypop in a rough way, can that be something that makes lip filler migrate more quickly, or does expert placement prevent this? 🙈

Does the product migrate in other parts of the face over time with a lip flip?
It’s not a filler but a neuromodulator can migrate which can cause it to go to the wrong muscles. I’ve never had this happen with a lip flip but it’s why we ask that you avoid exercise, hot tubs, or anything that can cause sweating after you get injected with a neuromodulator for around 24 hrs(not filler).

There's always lip flip surgery?
Pretty sure I know the answer to this already, but if your main concern is that from a profile view, your bottom lip protrudes forward more than your top lip, would you use lip filler or a lip flip to help the upper lip to at least meet the bottom lip so that they are even in how much they protrude from the face?

They may capitalize off of someone’s insecurities. Also as we age our lips change shape and deflate so I feel that at some point everyone will benefit from filler to their lips to at least restore what they had
+ most men find this look unattractive
@@MXX265 only if it does not look natural.
This is the answer to the title of the video don't bother doing it it looks s***
I don't think making your lips look like a hemorrhoid pillow is a good look...
And too many do look that way.
There are definitely some people with unnatural looking lip filler out there but there is a way to enhance lips to make them look natural looking
@@NaturalInjector Are girls actually putting themselves through the misery of some of these procedures for their own satisfaction or...? Since lips are the topic, why do it? Do you have to have fat lips for you, or is it being done as an attractant? Just asking.
@@jcsmith3806 They are doing it because it enhances their beauty. They are making their own lips larger but it does not mean you have to have really large full lips to be beautiful. It’s about enhancing what they have. The small amount of milliliters makes a difference. Nothing drastic.
@Jaya Patil it’s not surgery and it’s not intended to make everyone have large lips as everyone cannot have large lips and when they try that’s when it usually results in giving unnatural looking results.
it’d be so scary if people got these procedure down to look like someone else
