Well Apple usually upgrade the MacBook Air once a year so it's due an update in 6-7months. It's possible this new model will have a retina display but I expect we will see that in 2015, while the 2014 model is just a performance update so not that big

i got the 11inch and i am very happy with it i was not sure but now i know i made the right decision. yes I'm a teenager and i feel at school i am getting a lot of essays and reports etc and this has helped me so much i managed to hold a 13inch and the difference to me was noticeable.

If you haven't already bought it yet right off the bat macs are not good for gaming but that being said if you want a Mac notebook to game on go with a 15 inch even a used non retina from 2012 is good with the Nvidia Geforce 650m. Integrated Intel graphics on 13 inch and smaller Mac notebooks do not perform nearly as well

Great review, I'm about to start med school and my 2009 MacBook just died on me. I have been considering going back to a windows machine but this just convinced me to buy a brand new 11''. I really need the portability and battery life. I am on campus all day and draging my old Mac around was killing me. I'm so excited about the HUGE reduction in weight I'll be gaining. My only question is, do you think it's worth the $90 for the the 8 gig ram virsion? I don't really know much about computors but everyone is telling that 4 gigs isn't much these days.
