Think about where 'Pride' comes from. The movement can be traced back to the 'Society for Human Rights', founded by Henry Gerber in 1920s Chicago. Same-sex attracted individuals felt the need for such organisations primarily in Protestant countries like the USA and England where they lacked the option of embracing a chaste life through supported celibacy. And Catholics are at least partly to blame for the rupture of the so-called 'Reformation'. So, let's point the finger at ourselves!

No, you're right. It's not just a Catholic issue. In fact,, it need not be a purely religious one. I'm Catholic, and the spiritual reasons for our position on this are most important to me. But I think I could make a rationally coherent and fully secular argument that homosexuality is a distorted and dysfunctional sexuality. This has been an emotional issue far more than a rational or religious one. Catholicism has always made the case that true faith is never in contradiction to right reason and vice versa. Religious arguments regarding homosexuality should be wedded to those that stem from purely rational/logical positions. Why? Because very many of the people we testify to will not accept purely religious reasons for our belief.

I am in my early 30s still struggling with SSA and pornography. Although I am currently living in a country where there is pride parade every year and gay bar scattered in the city. I've never join it nor have I ever had sexual relationship or same sex relationship. But the temptation is always there. But seeing from their point of view, I am guessing that it might be because they are tired of suppressing their desire. In my case, it is "freedom to love" (which I found in Christ a couple of months ago and still in the progress of getting closer to Jesus, despite being a Catholic since I was a baby). I have met many that have suffered greatly and yet live lives of joy in spite of it all. My Wife, instance had her father murdered when she was a child and she recalls making a resolute decision to live the good life and choose joy. That to me sounds like the total and miraculous Grace of God. I'm always wrestling with the fact that there's nothing I can do or say to open others hearts to God's Grace... like Our Lady, at some fundamental level we have to give Him a resounding YES in the face of life here in the long defeat. In recent years I've made at least one trip to Barnes and Noble each year in June in a Louisiana city (not the most liberal part of the US); and each year lots of the Pride stuff was right in my face upon walking in. I just about got to the point where I didn't go there in June, and certainly wouldn't take my children. This year I went in and didn't see anything "Pride". I actually had to look around quite a bit to find one "queer" display table way off to the side - and didn't even have a rainbow flag on it. I decided that - this year (unlike recent years) - I would actually spend some money there (buying a Tolkien book).

I work for a large media agency and the reason why they’re toning down pride activities has nothing to do with the fear of a backlash. A few mega woke employees are complaining that we don’t have the right to “celebrate pride” because most of us at the company don’t actively / regularly support LGBT groups / activities throughout the year. As a practicing Catholic, I’m very happy with this new (even more woke) approach haha!

No, you're right. It's not just a Catholic issue. In fact,, it need not be a purely religious one. I'm Catholic, and the spiritual reasons for our position on this are most important to me.
But I think I could make a rationally coherent and fully secular argument that homosexuality is a distorted and dysfunctional sexuality. This has been an emotional issue far more than a rational or religious one.
Catholicism has always made the case that true faith is never in contradiction to right reason and vice versa. Religious arguments regarding homosexuality should be wedded to those that stem from purely rational/logical positions. Why? Because very many of the people we testify to will not accept purely religious reasons for our belief.

I am in my early 30s still struggling with SSA and pornography. Although I am currently living in a country where there is pride parade every year and gay bar scattered in the city. I've never join it nor have I ever had sexual relationship or same sex relationship. But the temptation is always there. But seeing from their point of view, I am guessing that it might be because they are tired of suppressing their desire. In my case, it is "freedom to love" (which I found in Christ a couple of months ago and still in the progress of getting closer to Jesus, despite being a Catholic since I was a baby). Being in SSA condition is really really tiring (often to the point where being dead might be better, at least I had that thought). But honestly, this LGBTQ thing is becoming weirder everyday. I personally think having more than 2 gender options is ridiculous. I also do not like the concept of drag or wearing weird clothes to show that "pride". I think "pride" has shifted a lot from "accepting who you are" to "lets spread this SSA throughout the world". Please brothers and sisters, pray for me to get closer to Jesus.

Last week I went to a confession for the second time this year. I managed to abstain from pornography for more than 3 months and just focus on my work (I am doing a PhD). I also have a weekly bible learning. Joining the Christian community here really helps a lot. I regularly met with a chaplain to talk about Jesus and he taught me a lot about the bible. I have just cried again, I did not know why, perhaps because I just want to become a normal person like the others, coupled with minor issues in life, sometimes I just can't help to cry. But I grabbed the bible that I carried in my bag when I cried. When I did this, I just feel closer to Jesus and I know He never leave me alone.

My Wife, instance had her father murdered when she was a child and she recalls making a resolute decision to live the good life and choose joy. That to me sounds like the total and miraculous Grace of God.

In recent years I've made at least one trip to Barnes and Noble each year in June in a Louisiana city (not the most liberal part of the US); and each year lots of the Pride stuff was right in my face upon walking in. I just about got to the point where I didn't go there in June, and certainly wouldn't take my children. This year I went in and didn't see anything "Pride". I actually had to look around quite a bit to find one "queer" display table way off to the side - and didn't even have a rainbow flag on it. I decided that - this year (unlike recent years) - I would actually spend some money there (buying a Tolkien book).

I work for a large media agency and the reason why they’re toning down pride activities has nothing to do with the fear of a backlash. A few mega woke employees are complaining that we don’t have the right to “celebrate pride” because most of us at the company don’t actively / regularly support LGBT groups / activities throughout the year. As a practicing Catholic, I’m very happy with this new (even more woke) approach haha!

I was so upset I purchased tickets to an Anaheim ducks hockey game for my family, (which is a once in a rare moment for us to go to a hockey game) to find out the day before that it was a pride celebration game. I feel like I should’ve been aware before I was sold the tickets. it was impossible for me to change them or even get to speak to a person over the phone. it really was not some thing I wanted to take my family to. That’s just my personal take on that . I just wish I could have had the choice presented at the time of purchase.

I am in the middle of a transgender grooming of schoolchildren crisis in my community. The way I avoid hating the gender-groomers and evil political and community actors is to pray for them. I often list their names and photos and print up a prayer with them, asking God to have mercy on their hellbound souls and that they repent. I do not want to become the evil I deplore.
Speaking of grooming, why don't you groom your sons to be thankful to their mothers instead of territorializing, colonizing and objectifying their bodies? There really is a way to make abortion rare without infringing on a woman bodily autonomy. God gave us sovereignty over our own bodies your's and other's.

I'm blessed to be in a third world country where we're very sheltered from this pride month phenomenon.
A concern I have is the potential there likely is for a violent backlash because these activists have been so in your face and their message trying to make straight people second rate citizens I can only imagine that without a Christian ethic governing your actions if you break the spell that particularly these trans activists have had people under, God help them!
