Great video as always. The major liabilities for both players in the opening position are the two back checkers. Once one has been extricated, it becomes increasingly important to escape the remaining back checker and avoid getting another checker sent back.
Excellent video! Since I read Back Checker Strategy about 4 times, these were easy for me (don't ask whether I misapply the concepts there and blunder in other positions though). I just saw your name on the UK Open, I will go there too! I will probably ask for an autograph!!

Yes, that's right. Once escaping one checker, it's almost always correct to escape the other checker when up in the race.

Position on the left I would go with 24/18 and 6/4*
Position on the right I would go with 24/16
